me and my friends are going on holiday at the end of august to either: Tenerife (Playa de las americas) or to ibiza (san antonio). were self catering and plan to buy all our food and alcohol from a local supermarket. Were going for 7 days which obviously a day and a half goes towards traveling e.g. airport etc. We dont need to afford taxis or anything as were located near the nightlife, we plan to drink our alcohol from shops and then go to clubs and just buy a few. im in tampa fl. and i just got married last sept. Resolved Question: Cape Verde or Israel?

I'm thinking of taking a 3 week holiday the last few weeks of March and was thinking of Cape Verde Islands or Israel. Are either of these two destinations good place to visit weather wise at this time? I was thinking of getting flights only for Cape Verde and doing a mix of backpacking, car hire and also traditional holiday stuff as well staying in hotels some nights on the beach and chilling. I was planning on hopping around a whole bunch of the islands and exploring, possible also taking tent with me... but I've heard that the Atlantic wind can be quite strong and I'm not sure on the camping rules there? Any advice from people who have been to Cape Verde, national, or Cape Verdean or Brits who have lived or do live there would be very much appreciated. I wanted to opt for Cape Verde because it seems a lot less spoilt than the Canaries and there's more of them do with a wide range of scenery and culture. As for Israel, getting there's not the problem I believe accommodation can be quite expensive? Any advice on cheaper priced accommodation would be great. I was probably looking at Tel Aviv as the base, maybe Eilat, and then doing a few excursion to Jerusalem, The Dead Sea and other historic and holy sites etc. Thanks for any recommendation, advice, and sharing any of your experiences in these countries. I'm budgeting a trip for South America, though also considering Japan and South East Asia, and wanting to compare my travels to other people's in terms of budgeting. I've gone through quite a bit this past year with work and relationships. Most recently relationships. It's been really tough...especially this past week when everything has really hit me. Anyway...boo hoo...I finally came to the realization that what I need is to just get away...by myself...somewhere new. I've never in my entire life been on a "vacation". I've traveled all over the world but it's always been to visit family, for a wedding, work, etc...never just for leisure. Any ideas of inexpensive places to go for just a few days? Just looking to maybe stay in a decent hotel...have a nice area close by to dine at...walk around...maybe a little shopping or museums. I've been to places like the Riverwalk in San Antonio and LOVE it. Would go there but my brother lives in the area and I'll be obligated (and would want to) visit while I'm in town. Just wondering what your thoughts are. I have never been on an all inclusive package holiday to Turkey, but had a little look for deals at end of April and they are quite expensive. At present the flights (so I am told) are becoming increasingly booked up and I am at risk of losing the offer, however I always thought Turkey was quite cheap?! We're hoping to honeymoon in London but don't know much about the place let alone what would be cheaper for us to do.
