Hi everyone, I will be moving from the UK to New Jersey in the United States, to be with my fiance and get married at the end of May! Im so excited!!!! I cant wait! Anyway, we now need to buy our flights. We need to fly with Continental from Birmingham to Newark as our dog, Honey, and I are booked on the outgoing flight. I bought mine last night for £387 and h2b wants to buy his flight to come over here a week prior to help me move and then us two and my labrador Honey, will all be flying back together. I searched for h2bs flight last night and they want nearly £700!!!! Almost double what I've paid!!! We can't pay that and I don't know what we're going to do. Does anyone work for Continental (ie know when the prices of flights go up or down) or does anyone know of any discount codes to make this price somewhat more realistic! Help! My partner and I are getting married in September and want to have our Honeymoon in December for 4 weeks. I really want to travel the west LA, San Diego, San Fransisco, Vegas, a nice island or beach in the west if we have time and maybe Seattle if we can get a reasonable flight. My partner wants to travel the East, Boston, New York, Jersey, Philidelphia. His dream is to have christmas in new york so we are going to work around that. We are also considered having a couple of days in Hawaii but don't know what the weather is that time of the year. How far is it to travel from New York or Boston over the border to Toronto? I was thinking we could fly into LA (cheapest place to fly into from Aus) Spend a week and a half in the west, fly to new york a week before christmas and explore the east (and canada if time permits) Spend Christmas New York and then fly back LA, perhaps then to Hawaii or other island in the west for a couple of days, back to LA and travel to Vegas for New Year and then fly back to Australia from LA. I know it is alot to fit in 4 weeks but we really want to make the most of this trip as we have been wanting to travel to the US for so long. Unfortunately we can't get more than 4 weeks off work so we have to work with what we've got. Any suggestions for an itinerary? Should we be doing things like Contiki tours or doing it on our own? What is the best way to travel the West and East? Bus, Rail? We don't really want to drive. more

Can someone tell me how cheap flights work? I want to fly from Bristol UK to Jersey UK but its a lot of money. One airline charges £164 taxes and charges. What do I get when I pay £164 taxes and charges? Better seats? Good inflight meal? Anything at all? Is it true that the later you book the cheaper they are? I tried another airline and looked at the prices for tommorow. It was just as expensive. When they have deal (rarely) why are the cheapo flights at 2am and not at a resonable hour. Hey all, I live in Central Jersey (Edison area). I'm looking for the CHEAPEST possible way to get to Vegas in the beginning of July. I want to arrive in Vegas on July 1st and leave on the 5th, I don't really care when I get back here. The lowest plane ticket I've found is around $315, the lowest bus ticket, around $215 (but takes about 2 days, so I'll have to spend $ on food and stuff, I'd figure about $50, making it about $275). Can anybody think of a cheaper way to get to Vegas from here? I am fine with crazy but practical solutions ie like a $99 flight to somewhere else + $15 bus ride, or something. I am looking for vacation suggestions that would be good for a couple and a one year old. I want something that we the parents will enjoy, but that will have things that our baby will appreciate as well. We live in Western New York and would be willing to drive about 7 hours or so. We'd consider flying if we could get cheap flights, but there's not a lot of places like that from here. We'd like to keep the budget pretty low, as well...we'd be willing to make some meals and things like that. We'd probably only go for 3-5 days. We'd want it to be relaxing but still have plenty to do. I've been thinking about the Jersey Shore but that can get pricey. Any thoughts? more

me & my boyfriend are going to orlando, florida for vacation celebrating our 4th year anniversary in september. i already know where we are staying & what attractions we would do. now i have to come up with how exactly im getting to florida (by the way i live in new jersey) what would be the best thing money & time wise. i was looking a flight cost and a round trip for 2 would cost $456.00. it would only take a little over 2 hours. or should we rent a car. the cost would be cheaper but we woould have to pay for gas and maybe stop to eat because of the hours we would be traveling. Hi i'm 18 years old and have taken a year out of education and i start back in september 09. I've always wanted to go to New York and now i think is the perfect time. I lIve in London so i know that things will work out cheaper for me because of the currency dfference between the pound and the dollar. I was considering going with friends but for the most part all my friends are all broke or don't really want to go, and pretty much my only friend who isn't broke and lives in Florida is heavily pregnant so that would seriously hold me back. We are interested in taking the above trip, but after checking flights and hotels prices I wonder if it wouldn't be cheaper to drive. I bought a ticket from Delta airlines today for $203 to fly out on March 12th. Now I want to reschedule for March 20th but there is a $75 charge. I paid by debit card and I put $300 on the card to pay for my ticket which leaves me with $96. I could either cancel the whole transaction all together and book another flight or reschedule and pay the late fee. The cancellation can take up to 2-3 days but by then i know the ticket prices will go up. Do you think I should go ahead and pay the change fee and reschedule my flight right now, or do you think i should wait for the cancellation to go through and rebook my flight online? Right so the plan is I'm going on an odyssey around Europe and ultimately beyond for an indeterminate amount of time (budget roughly £10K) with a brainless companion.
