Hi i have a long haul flight soon in about 3 weeks and i am getting a bit nervous about it. I have been on long hauls before (sydney>los angeles>chicago) and (sydney>singapore>london) but that was about 6 years ago. i am travelling from Sydney to Frankfurt, via Brisbane and Singapore. Then im taking a train (9hrs) to Nantes, outside of paris. We are flying from Guatemala, connecting through Mexico City, connecting again in Frankfurt, arriving finally in Athens, Greece. We bought our tickets through Lufthansa, but they don´t fly out of Guatemala so they have us on Mexicana Airlines until we get to Mexico City and then we switch to Lufthansa to Frankfurt where they put us on Aegean Air fo the last leg. Do we need visas for Mexico or Germany? Where will we go through immigration? Trying to coordinate the most efficient travel between Seattle WA and Brussels Belgium. I can fly direct to Amsterdam (Schipol), and I can see that there is a high speed train from Amsterdam to Brussels direct. What are the rates one way and return? Are reservations required? I'm a little concerned about delayed flights causing a missed train connection - if I reserve a seat and my flight is delayed is there a chance to rebook the seat on a later train or do I lose the reserved ticket and have to buy another? Or is there an easier way to do this? I would prefer to fly from Seattle to Europe direct (no changing planes in Chicago, New York, Atlanta etc.). Direct flights go from Seattle to London Heathrow, Amsterdam, Paris (Charles de Gaulle), Frankfurt. It seemed to me that Amsterdam was the logical transfer point, and I like that the train would take me to the central station in Brussels instead of having to navigate from the airport.GP: I will be traveling on business, and the "cheapest" flight isn't what I"m looking for. I will be moving to Vilseck, Germany (and living there for three years). My cat is my buddy and I refuse to give him up. :) What exact paperwork needs to be completed so that I can take him with me? Okay so I want to fly to Hungary for 2 and 1/2 months, to visit relitives. I have been on an ariplane MILLION times before, but never alone. I started flying when i was 2 and every year or every 2 years i would go to Hungary to visit Family, since all of my family live there. Im 13 turning 14 before i leave. Ok in a few months i am travelling qantas internationally. From Sydney to Frankfurt via Brisbane and Singapore. on their site, they say this: Australian Domestic (except Dash 8 services) All Classes: 2 x 105cm (41in) bags or 1 x 105cm (41in) bag plus 1 x 185cm (73in) non rigid garment bag or 1 x 115cm (45in) bag 7kg (15lb) per piece FOR DOMESTIC^^^^ ok for international, its this: Economy: 1 x 115cm (45in) bag or 1 x 185cm (73in) non rigid garment bag 7kg (15lb) per piece It looks as if the domestic you can carry two bags and international carry one. I am going to be carrying a backpack and a suitcase that is 42 which is just above the limit. On the domestic flight, i might be able to do this because they probably wont notice the extra inch. But on the international flight, it seems like you can carry more on domestic than international. Maybe i will store one under my seat and one above my head in the overhead bins? So my questions are: 1. Can i carry two pieces of luggage on my international flights? 2. How big are overhead bins, and can they carry 42Inch bags? 3. Is it okay not to check in any luggage - has anyone done it? 4. Can i fit either the suitcase (42in bag) or the backpack under the seat infront? BYE and THANKYOU HEAPS! I will be traveling to Germany on December 28th on a one way flight into Frankfurt. I already have my passport and all of that stuff, but I was wondering if anyone had any actual tips about the flight itself. My friend who is a German native will be picking me up from the airport, and I know enough German to get me from the terminal to him. A few particulars I was wondering: I am 19, and I know that the drinking age (for beer) is 16 in Germany (18 for hard liquor), but since it is an international flight, do American or German laws for that apply? How much earlier than my departure time should I get to the airport? Am I allowed to bring razors for shaving on my checked baggage or should I just buy them when I get there? Resolved Question: Why are there no direct flights to India from the West coast?

I think there should be at least one direct flight from either San Francisco, LA or Seattle. Right now you have to travel all the way to New York, Chicago or Newark. That's a needless amount of travel time. Then of course, there's a long trans-Atlantic journey with hours of layover in London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam or Brussels. By the time you reach India and return the same path, you spent almost 70 hours flying or at the airports. That's like three days of physical and mental exhaustion. It would be far easier and more economical to fly the Pacific route. There should be more airlines to operate a route here. more

Hello everyone, I am going to The Philippines in 2 days. I already booked the flight. This is my first time flying and I'm flying alone. I will leave from Frankfurt (Germany) to Taipei (Taiwan) to Manila (Philippines) to Davao (Philippines) an d because this is my first time I need to know a couple of things... I am from Ukraine and currently study in the US, Virginia. In summer I used lufthanza airlines, and they allowed to have two baggages each 23 kg, and plus, of course, personal baggage to the plane. Now I am going back to Ukraine on Christmas holidays and I have read that now all the airline companies have absolutely another policy concerning the weight limits. Now they allow to have only one baggage, which is 23 kg, and which is 2 times less than it was in summer. And if you want to carry another 23 kg baggage you need to pay $50. I will use Continental, United, Lufthansa. II) Also, if I bought ticket for June 2010 in summer 2009, will this new policy influence this? I mean I bought tickets before the new policy was activated, and logically when coming back home in summer I would be able to carry 2 baggages for free because I bought tickets before the new policy, right? III) Today, when buying tickets I used kayak.com site. I'm going to use Continental, United, and Lufthanza airlines. So the questions is: if I give and check-in all my baggage in the US, will it go directly to Ukraine, despite I have connection flights in London, and Frankfurt? Hello, I will be going to Dubai; my flight is arriving via Frankfurt at Terminal 3. Since its an Emirate Airline flight does it arrive in Concourse 1 or Concourse 2 of Terminal 3? Also my friends will be coming from Asia to Terminal 2. Is there a shuttle bus from Terminal 3 arrivals to Terminal 2 arrivals? Would it be easier to meet them in Terminal 2 or Terminal 3?
