My partner and I live far apart, and come from two different cultural backgrounds we clash on a lot of issues. The first week of June he had 3 deaths in his family, days apart (not close family members). We'd made plans 2 months before this, for me to visit in London the last two weeks in July. He called 2 wks before my scheduled flight and canceled. He didn't think it was a good idea to come while funeral arrangements and plans were being made. It literally took a whole month to plan and execute the funerals (because of his culture). One of the burials took place in Ghana, Africa. He was being very helpful and supportive of his family during this time. He was so busy helping and supporting his family that our phone conversation decreased by 80% and emails 100%. I was feeling a bit neglected, after all it was taking a whole month. I tried to call and talk to him about how I felt, but he was always to busy. When he did have something to say, it was never with understanding. Since he was to busy to listen to my feelings, I decided to send him an email . I poured all my feelings of love, loneliness, and anger into the letter. Instead of him calling and talking it over with me, he printed a copy of the email. He let his best friend, 2 sisters, and several others read the email......... Needless to say I was livid. He seems to think that this was o.k. This has put a major strain on our relationship. How can I ever feel close enough to share my feelings with him again ? more

It looks like most flights from Dallas to Accra stop in Amsterdam, London or Frankfurt-are any of those airports especially easy/friendly or especially confusing?
