American Wine Questions asked

Resolved Question: Is this what Barack Obama has planned for us?

The Dinner Roll .. Once upon a time I was invited to the White House for a private dinner with the President. I am a respected businessman, with a factory that produces memory chips for computers and portable electronics. There was some talk that my industry was being scrutinized by the administration, but I paid it no mind. I live in a FREE country. There's nothing that the government can do to me if I've broken no laws. My wealth was EARNED honestly, and an invitation to dinner with an American President is an honor. I checked my coat, was greeted by the Chief of Staff, and joined the President in a yellow dining room. We sat across from each other at a table draped in white linen. The Great Seal was embossed on the china. Uniformed staff served our dinner. The meal was served, and I was startled when my waiter suddenly reached out, plucked a dinner roll off my plate and began nibbling it as he walked back to the kitchen.. "Sorry 'bout that," said the President. "Andrew is very hungry." "I don't appreciate..." I began, but as I looked into the calm brown eyes across from me, I felt immediately guilty and petty. It was just a dinner roll. "Of course," I concluded, and reached for my glass. Before I could, however, another waiter reached forward, took the glass away and swallowed the wine in a single gulp. "And his brother, Eric, is very thirsty," said the President. I didn't say anything. The President is testing my compassion, I thought. I withheld my comments and decided to play along. I don't want to seem unkind.. My plate was whisked away before I had tasted a bite. "Eric's children are also quite hungry." With a lurch, I crashed to the floor. My chair had been pulled out from under me. I stood, brushing myself off angrily, and watched as it was carried from the room. And their grandmother can't stand for long." I excused myself, smiling outwardly, but inside feeling like a fool. Obviously I had been invited to the White House to be sport for some game. I reached for my coat, to find that it had been taken. I turned back to the President. "Their grandfather doesn't like the cold." I wanted to shout, "that was my coat!" But again, I looked at the placid smiling face of my host and decided I was being a poor sport. I spread my hands helplessly and chuckled. Then I felt my hip pocket and realized my wallet was gone. I excused myself and walked to a phone on an elegant side table. I learned shortly that my credit cards had been maxed out, my bank accounts emptied, my retirement and equity portfolios had vanished, and my wife had been thrown out of our home. Apparently, the waiters and their families were moving in. The President hadn't moved or spoken as I learned all this, but finally I lowered the phone into its cradle and turned to face him. "Andrew's whole family has made bad financial decisions. They haven't planned for retirement and they need a house. They recently defaulted on a subprime mortgage. I told them they could have your home. They need it more than you do." My hands were shaking. I felt faint I stumbled back to the table and knelt on the floor. The President cheerfully cut his meat, ate his steak, and drank his wine. I lowered my eyes and stared at the small grey circles on the tablecloth that were water drops. "By the way," he added, "I have just signed an Executive Order nationalizing your factories. I'm firing you as head of your business. I'll be operating the firm now for the benefit of all mankind. There's a whole bunch of Erics and Andrews out there and they can't come to you for jobs groveling like beggars...we need to spread YOUR wealth around..." I looked up. The President dropped his spoon into the empty ramekin which had been his crème Brule. He drained the last drops of his wine. As the table was cleared, he lit a cigarette and leaned back in his chair. He stared at me. I clung to the edge of the table as if it were a ledge and I were a man hanging over an abyss. I thought of the years behind me, of the life I had lived. The life I had earned with a lifetime of work, risk and struggle. Why was I punished? How had I allowed it to be taken? What game had I played and lost? I looked across the table and noticed with some surprise that there was no game board between us. What had I done wrong? As if answering the unspoken thought, President Obama suddenly cocked his head, locked his empty eyes to mine, and bared a million teeth, chuckling wryly as he folded his hands. "You should have stopped me at the dinner roll," he said. more

Open Question: My wedding is a nightmare for me! Her parents putting stress on us.?

My wedding will be a nightmare for me because her parents are putting stress on us!? I'm swedish and she is asian. The problem is we are having tons of troubles about pleasing everyone from both sides. In her culture, the engagement part is supposed to have gifts like fruit, wine, jewerly, and a roasted pig. A roasted pig that my dad ordered was not good because it was not cooked from asian people and made her parents quiet upset of wasting money on the pig. I have only $8,000. Now, the wedding event comes up. Her parents say their cultured people will give "money" as gift and each of them supposely give at least $150 so the wedding must be a nice and fairytale place. Additional to this, they say american people will eat free and no money or give cheap gifts. I find it is stressful for us to organize the wedding. If I go for whatever her cultured people want then we may be broke because the part of giving money is less than the parts of giving gifts. If I go for the whole thing just like americans did then I may piss off her people, because they will expect MORE that is worth same as the amount money they give. What do you think? I want to marry her because I love her; apparently, true love may not pass culture custom for a poor guy. My fiance' pissed me off when she said " Wedding is extremely serious in our culture because it is not a joke. I won't marry twice, I marry only once, and if you don't have enough money to celebrate wedding then wait."Don't say she is interested in my money. She doesn't care about money. When I was broke she supported me and brought lunch/dinner for me. She wanted to have a wedding just like people in her culture and she wants to please her parents. Unfortunately, the wedding in her culture is not cheap at all. She put a lot of thought in our engagement like she prepared all of things ahead. I'm not going to break up with her no matter what.In her culture, the wedding is supposed for broom's parents to pay. Since I'm not Asian and my parents don't have money so we have to bear all for ourselves. Just try to ask how am I going to do well in this wedding? more

Open Question: July 2010 budget trip: Portugal, Spain, Ibiza, France, Germany cost / advice ?

Hi, Me and a few other friends (all 18, all male, American, from Los Angeles) plan on flying from the beginning of July to the very end of July to go to Europe for our "senior trip". Our itenerary looks like this: Start in Portugal: Porto, then Lisbon Lisbon to Madrid, Madrid to Valencia, Valencia to Barcelona, Barcelona rountrip to Ibiza, Ibiza to Barcelona to Nice Nice to Munich Munich to Berlin Berlin, flying to Porto to Los Angeles On average, I plan to spend around 2 days, give or take, in each city. Since we'll be taking the train the time should be a little flexible. However, I plan to spend around 4-5 days in Ibiza. For the cost, I was thinking 80 euros on average (except for Ibiza for 4-5 days- I'm thinking 1000 euros) per day for the trip. Is this reasonable? This includes a place to sleep (hostels only), food, clubbing, drinking, etc. Obviously not every day but more often than not. We are really big on a nightlife, but also on relaxing. Clubbing and music is a big part of our trip, along with socializing, laying back, some beaches, and taking in the experience. We will be staying in hostels, however we'd also like do some activities such as maybe a wine tour in Porto (I want to earn a palatte for wine) or spend money on little things that come our way (cuban cigars? memorabilia?). Also, if anyone could offer advice on some of the cities on our trip, that would be great. Maybe some of you have some alternatives or suggestions for the cities I've mentioned, but please nothing super out of the way than what I've already mentioned. I've done some extensive research but that will never compare to personal experiences. Also, where should I expect to pay more? pay less? What cities would I most likely be staying in longer? or shorter? Any general advice would additionally be helpful. I just want to make sure I offer a somewhat accurate price and plan to my friends and myself. Thanks! This would help me a lot. more

Resolved Question: Interesting sex games?

OK. I'm going out with my girlfriend of 2 weeks (I know her 3 years and we were a couple for a short period 3 years ago) this Saturday. Although it's just 2 weeks, we really know each other well and see each other every day. We are both comfortable with sex talk and teasing, and she's kinda naughty and playful... What I mean by sex games: first, I want to make clear there will be NO penetrative sex in respect of her age and the consequences. But on the other hand, classic foreplay like oral sex is too...classic :P So, what else could we play to make things interesting? Just as an example, if you've watched American Pie: Beta House, Cooze was playing this board (actually floor, lol) game with his girlfriend where you have to put your hands and legs in specific circles and they ended up jumbled. I'm not talking specifically about a board game, just ANYTHING that could spice things up without having sex, or something interesting during foreplay. Also, what areas of her body should I pay most attention to? Keep in mind, this is meant for a 17 year old boy and a 16 year old -naughty- girl. So, yeah, honey and chocolate syrup is nice, but keep it fresh, please. No champagne or wine poured! more

Resolved Question: Anyone can answer ten questions about life I've had since I was a schoolgirl?

The best questions about life are the real difficult ones we keep from school, anyway here they are; 1) Why do cats always land on their feet? 2) Why does water if slightly warm produce bubbles? 3) Why the sun always appears yellow or red in colour? 4) Why America mostly used proper English up until the 1950s then butchered it? 5) Why nativity plays always display Jesus as an albino when he comes from a country of mostly darker people (not necessarily Nubian black but you know what I mean)? 6) Why America thinks France is romantic, when Europe and the world hates them (Italy is far superior) ? 7) Why countries are obsessed with having the tallest building in the world as this isn't necessarily a feat of architectural or artistic or cultural triumph? 8) Why black men were gifted with the strongest thickest meat as oppose to other races? What was God thinking as it hardly is the basis for an advanced civilization? (the ave black guy possesses 12 inches, ask any girl whose tried) 9) Given oil is so much trouble to fight and drill for we don't use alcohol? (Example France pours away 5,000,000 liters of wine a year due to over production) Think about it! Whisky etc... is flammable after all. 10) Why Australians want to be carbon copies of Americans (but are far inferior)? more

Resolved Question: If Captain Moroni and Jesus used wine, why do Mormons forbid the consumption of wine today?

== Righteous Nephites Had Wine From Alma 55: 6 Now Moroni caused that Laman and a small number of his men should go forth unto the guards who were over the Nephites. 7 Now the Nephites were guarded in the city of aGid; therefore Moroni appointed Laman and caused that a small number of men should go with him. 8 And when it was evening Laman went to the guards who were over the Nephites, and behold, they saw him coming and they hailed him; but he saith unto them: Fear not; behold, I am a Lamanite. Resolved Question: Real interview with a Chinese Doctor, Hilarious!?

I am not joking! This is a real interview answered by a very well respected Chinese doctor, This is PRICELESS!!!! Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true? A: Heart only good for so many beats, and that it... Don't waste on exercise. Everything wear out eventually. Speed up heart not make live longer; that like say you can extend life of car by driving faster. Want live longer? Take nap. Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables? A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does cow eat? Hay and corn. What are these? Vegetables.. So, steak nothing more than efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to system. Need grain? Eat chicken.. Beef also good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable).. And pork chop can give 100% recommended daily allowance of vegetable products. Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake? A: No, not at all. Wine made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine. That means they take water out of fruity bit; get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made out of grain. Bottoms up! Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio? A: If you have body and you have fat, ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, ratio is two to one, etc. Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program? A: Cannot think of single one, sorry. My philosophy: No Pain...Good! Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you? A: YOU NOT LISTENING!!! ..... Foods fried in vegetable oil. How getting more vegetables be bad for you? Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle? A: Definitely not! When you exercise muscle, it get bigger. You should only do sit-ups if want bigger stomach. Q: Is chocolate bad for me? A: You crazy? HELLO . Cocoa beans! Vegetable!!! Cocoa beans best feel-good food around! Q: Is swimming good for your figure? A: If swimming good for figure, explain whales to me. Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle? A: Hey! 'Round' is shape! Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets. AND...... For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies: 1. The Japanese eat very little fat And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 3. The Chinese drink very little red wine And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 4 The Italians drink a lot of red wine And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 5.. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. CONCLUSION..... Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you. more

Resolved Question: February is American Healthy Heart Month...Do you have a good tip for maintaining a healthy heart?

Hot Cocoa: You read right! Hot cocoa is brimming with antioxidants – two-times more than red wine and three times more than green tea. The cool February temperatures are no match for a mug of hot cocoa. My tip: since hot chocolate mixes are full of sugar, use 100% cocoa and combine with a teaspoon of sugar. Resolved Question: Why Are Americans Jobless ?

Why Are Americans Jobless ? John Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6 a.m. While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN PHILIPPINES) . He put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA), designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE) and tennis shoes (MADE IN VIETNAM). After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA), then he sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA), he got in his car (MADE IN GERMANY) filled it with GAS (from Saudi Arabia) and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB. At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day checking his computer (MADE IN MALAYSIA), John decided to relax for a while. He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL) poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE) and turned on his TV (MADE IN KOREA), and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in AMERICA. AND NOW HE'S HOPING HE CAN GET HELP FROM HIS PRESIDENT (MADE IN KENYA)! more

Resolved Question: Is this a true depiction of how many Asians the UK has?

A Frenchman, American, Englishman and a Pakistani on the Eiffel tower. The American starts chucking loads of money from off the top - The Frenchman asks: "why did you do that?" - to which the American responds: "we Americans have LOADS of money, so why not?". With that, the Frenchman says: "Oh OK, well we French have LOADS of wine" - and so he proceeds throws bottles of it from off the top of the Eiffel tower. The Pakistani looks at the Englishman and states: "Don't you f*cking dare!". Do you agree that this is a true depiction of the current UK? more

Resolved Question: It appears that religion plays a big role in American politics?

Re 17:1-5 kjv 1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Is religion( christianity ) the harlot who sleeps with government & business ?Unsilenced Lioness Tis Tis Tis . You know as well as I do you are lieing . You are talking about a group called Jehovah's Christian Witnesses which have nothing to do with Jehovah's Witnesses or the Watchtower . Do you think I am one of your stupid fans who believe something because that is what they want to hear ? I don't jump into anything blind & I researched the JW's very carefully before I started to study with them. I studied you too , a good liar needs a good memory , do you have any family left who have not died from not having a blood transfussion. more

Resolved Question: I'm trying to date this girl, but she knows when I was younger I was in a homosexual relationship?(long post)?

for a little history on the subject, We've worked together for almost two years, and I've had a huge crush on this girl pretty much since I started working there. When I first started working there I was involved in a homosexual relationship and identified myself as bi-sexual. Now, I was also very reserved about saying so and also never really put such information out in the open. I'm very private when it comes to all aspects of my private life, not just because of the nature of my relationship. But, things came out over time as I worked there, especially since several people who work there are openly gay or lesbians. Within a few months of working there I determined that I liked girls alot more than I like men, I can appreciate masculine features and many characteristics men possess, but as far as sexual and emotional levels, men never satisfied me. On top of that the guy I was dating turned out to be a total loser who didn't want to do anything but sit around the house while I worked 6-7 days a week to pay all the bills and he smoked pot (icing on the cake he was 5 years older than me when we started dating, I was 18 he was 23 and he moved in with me after 6 months of dating cuz he didn't have anywhere to go). So i dumped him after 2 years of dating and moved out so he'd have to find somewhere to go which he did, and after a series of dramatic bull **** things that I put up with from him, once including him punching me in the face, I cut contact with him entirely. Well, after we split up, a few months passed and I started pursuing this girl. She was (and is) the most perfect girl ever. She's smart, funny, absolutely gorgeous, we have many of the same goals ideals and principles. She's proper, has a taste for the finer things in life and and knows how to have fun (i.e. drinking) without getting wasted and "acting a fool". She is artistic and clever, and I could go on and on all day cuz I'm totally head over heels for this girl. We hang out a good bit with people and alone with just each other, and she knows how I feel about her (i got a little too drunk one night after a few bottles of wine and spilled the beans like an idiot) But she has very intense reservations, (she comes from a very traditional Honduran family and many South American cultures look down on homosexuality) and her family is very important to her even though they don't see eye to eye on a lot of things. She says that there is potential, but she has other issues going on in her life as well, and also to make things worse, a few months back , I went and hung out with some of the openly gay people I work with and went to a gay bar with them, ended up going back to one of the peoples houses with a few other people and we all had several glasses of wine, and one of the male coworkers of mine(the one whose house we were at, who is also almost 20 years older than me) made advances on me with his boyfriend present. I told him that I wasn't interested and to leave me alone in that manner that I just wanted to hang out. things got dramatic after that and I left, but he went and told people at work an entirely different story. Obviously this got back to her and her already leery reservations, were undoubtedly intensified. Last night I took her out to lunch, suprised her with a bouquet of flowers, and we spent all day together, went out and taught her how to shoot pool, watched forgetting Sarah Marshall, gave her an hour long back massage, and hung out drinking Maker's Mark on the rocks(a drink I got her started on) until almost 3 in the morning. When I got up to leave, I made the first move I've ever made on her and tried to kiss her and she turned away( another thing about this is that we've spent the night together over 6-7 times before this, nothing intimate just hanging out talking and sleeping in the same bed). This was when this whole thing was brought up and laid out on the table. I told her that, I had no further interest in men and would not betray that trust and long story short, she said that it wasn't a "completely closed chapter" and that regardless of what happened she always wanted me to be around and a part of her life. I'm in LOVE with this girl, I know I don't have a right to be, but I am infatuated with her, she never strays far from my thoughts I think about her all the time. I try and think of ways to make her laugh and smile, and just try and make her happy in general. I'm 22 years old now, almost fluent in her native tongue(spanish), I have a good salary job, and I own the house that I live in. I'm established, intelligent, fiscally responsible, funny, in pretty good shape, and pretty good looking (not to sound concieted or anything, I'd give myself like a 7.5 on the looks thing haha) When it comes to relationships, I'm very committed and do whatever possible to make things work, (sometimes works against me though). I'm not frivolous in any sense of the word (sexually, emotionally, flirtaciously, etc.) more

Resolved Question: Will you be playing the State of the Union Drinking Game?

The state of the union is driving many Americans to drink. Why not make it a game? Here are the rules: Every time Barack Obama says: - "The state of our union is strong" = (1) arm-curl beer chug - "hope" = (1) drink of desperation - "change" = switch from beer to wine, wine to spirits or spirits to beer - "yes we can" = sip unicorn wine while dancing in moonbeams - "spread the wealth around" = steal somebody else's drink, if he objects, call him a racist - "stimulus" = drink an espresso shot - "corporate greed" = drink a shot of expensive champagne from the navel of a stripper - "Ted Kennedy" = drink a case of scotch and drown a girl - "Hillary Clinton" = drink the oldest wine in the cellar in a pants-suit - "John Edwards" = slip a ruffie in your wife's anti-cancer medications so you can impregnate your mistress - "Joe Biden" = drink until your hair plugs fall out then hit yourself with the bottle and say a few racist jokes - blames George Bush = drink a non-alcoholic beer and think of happier times - every time Obama mentions himself = take a sip of snake-oilIt's not too late. Just watch the damn video and it's all good. more

Resolved Question: Do you think I should fire my Chinese doctor?

Need grain? Eat chicken. A: YOU NOT LISTENING!!! .... 5.. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats And suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. more

Resolved Question: Should there be a fat tax on food? Will they--how much are you against or for it?

It still comes up, now and than. Not that we would like it but.......... I wonder will it be-- How much are people for or against it? We tax liquor and cigarettes, neither of which are essentials in life. Why not tax something else that is bad for our health? Like most things in life, liquor should be taken in moderation. It's a treat. And as such, we can stomach a little extra money being handed over for our shot of bourbon or pint of ale. (Cigarettes, well, they're a whole different animal and if it weren't for the enormous amount of money they generate they would have been banned years ago. Such is the power of the mighty dollar.) Just look at a few statistics. In the U.S., 64.5 percent of adults are overweight and 30.5 percent are obese says one study. Similarly, fast food is (or should be) a rare treat, too. Probably more rare than a glass of wine or cold bottle of Bud. If you recall Super Size Me, nutritionists interviewed by Morgan Spurlock said you should only eat junk food once a month, if at all. That doesn't stop most Americans gorging on fast food like rats in a New York dumpster. And our children are paying a hefty cost for this indulgence and so are we. Many are being treated for the issues unhealthy eating causes cause. And children we cover medically. Over half of the population eats fast food once a week with 20 percent eating fast food at least every other day People will always want that forbidden treat, and they'll happily pay for it. I don't see anyone complaining about the high price of Belgian chocolate or hand-made English Toffee. It's not necessary for survival. It only exists to give people pleasure. And as such, like so many other pleasures in life that are bad for us, most are willing to pay more for them. What if we use the money generated by fast food purchases to subsidize the prices of a National Health Plan and a good one, how would you feel than?By the way--to that someone who decided how I fell--I am against it--your wrongBy the way--to that someone who decided how I feel--I am against it- I think we have to much tax---your wrong. Try not adding to your own reading what isn't there. Reading comprehension is so important.Thank you to those who could answer the question without adding what they think others think. Resolved Question: Is Sims 3 kind-of racist?

In World Adventures, they kindof compare America to France, Egypt, and China in a bad way. Those countries apparently don't have schools, hospital, military, science lab, crime, massage parlors, movie theatres, libraries, city hall, cars (only mopeds!?), and each town has maybe 4 or 5 people employed out of 30. Not to mention everybody has a basement full of things that can kill you. Half of Egypt is Pyramids, all France is good for is Wine, and the Asians all meditate and know karate. And each small town has 5-10 cemetaries each which is a questionable mortality rate. They definitely got the swash-buckling boiling-pot Americans right though. They barge into random countries, photograph everything, steal their wealth, absorb their culture like the borg, and leave in their wake the chaos of bastard children, McDonalds wrappers, burnt carnage, and attacking mummies. more

Resolved Question: Why is Quebec so misunderstood by Anglophones?

I ask this question mainly to Quebecois because I feel for these people. The Quebecois truly love life, family, joyful moments, song, dance, art, delicious food, they know what it means to live. In contrast, many Americans and Anglophones seem to be staunchly individualist and there's not this same sort of connection between people and life being like movements of a symphony rather than another day to pay bills. French Canadiens appreciate life more, with all the less they have. They live for precious moments, their lives have boundless creativity, their women are cuter, their men are more tolerant of hopless romanticism and their women are cuter (and not even in the superficial sense, in the character traits of a female Quebecois), their film and cinema warms the heart and soul. they have delicious cheeses and wines. They have such artful expressions on their faces that you can see it in photos kilometres away. Why is a culture like this not loved more? Why are people so individualist in their ways that they repel against something so beautiful? The soul of Quebec? more

Resolved Question: Why aren't more proactive in working towards a solution like Obama is? Why do ppl wine about everythng he does?

He is working towards solutions that could really aide America in the future. Free market only worked when America was small and had room for growth. Times have changed, and without a financial structure for the corporate world to look to, it will only be the greed-driven society that has now failed. People like to complain about his every move, and yet they also complain that he is all talk and no action. It is hypocritical and unproductive. You may not agree with Obama as a person, leader, or his morals, however the wisest thing to do is to work together to promote a peaceful, healthy society. This cannot be done if everyone fights with one another and tries to bring down their leader. It's time for America to grow up and learn that unpleasant times call for sometimes unpleasant measures, but in the long run, if people can learn to put aside their personal opinions and stop pointing fingers, something might actually get accomplished. Obama wants to do many radical things, but a radical change is needed to bring about positive results in such a dire situation. So, that is what I believe to be the truth. I don't call myself a Democrat nor a Republican. I am simply an American who sees the benefits and logic of working together as a team and as a country to achieve a unified goal. Resolved Question: do you support the DREAM act?

Ha-ha it does not matter what any of you think, it’s all up to the politicians that are already in office. While they do need your votes, to be elected, it’s the only time they need to listen to your wining. They don’t really care what the average Joe thinks; and if they really wanted to, they could easily round up all illegal students before they even made it out of high school lol. Most of you don’t even really understand what the dream act really is and the few that do will probably not answer anyway. I say this only to upset only some of you and to ask the rest to LOOK IT UP and quit saying it will cost tax payers millions because it won’t. No government grants, no scholarships, no aid, no seat taken. I don’t support another amnesty wave or open border system, only fair and reasonable immigration reform. The only way the dream act would hurt American students is because they will have to compete with more people to go to college. but who do you really think this country really benefit more from, the student who with no help fought tooth and nail for their education or the one who got the chance to earn their degree because the competition was stuck in the back washing dishes?
