Hi, My parents are out of the country. I am all alone in my house which is so big, it makes me feel so alienated from the rest of the world and so lonely. The chauffeur is in his room, so he will probably be the one to report my death to the cops after hearing the gunshot which will end all my sufferings. Tonight my pain ends forever. Well, these are my reasons. While it is natural that most of you will label me as a spoiled brat and a coward for committing suicide, most of you don't know my story. I come from a very wealthy family, where I have gotten everything I ever wanted in life. Today, even with all the money I have, I don't feel satisfied anymore. I am worthless and my money can't do anything about it. I have no talent, I am not good at anything in life and I have nothing to live for, my parents are self-centered people who put business ahead of the family. I am not smart nor do I think I'm good looking (even though many girls said I am, I won't buy it). Whenever my parents are not around, I swallow all the pills I can get my hands on; they drown my pain and sorrow. I am sad all the time because I know I'll never be as successful as my parents and older brother, and if I die, no one will miss me after 3 days. I always hear that money doesn't and can't buy happiness, and let me tell you it is so true. Earlier today, I went to a restaurant by myself and enjoyed my last meal; it was smoked salmon with a glass of white wine. I couldn't complain this time. The food was exquisite and the wine so perfect. I enjoyed it because I knew it is the last meal I will ever put in my mouth while I'm here on earth. Now as I sit here staring at my father's prized 1879 Peacemaker and simultaneously writing this message that will be lost in cyber-space after about 1 hour, I wonder: what if I don't pull the trigger? what would become of me? But my life is not worth living anymore. I have come to the realization that we all die eventually, so why not end my pain now before my pain consumes me all-around? I want to bid you farewell and wish you a happy life. Don't even bother replying, I just wanted to leave this message on my computer, for when I kill myself, my reasons will be clear. Mom and Father, I love you despite all of your mistakes, you are after all only human. Maximilian, brother, I wish you a happy birthday and I'm sorry I won't be there, just have fun without me - like always. Love you. On my night table I left my will that I hope you will read. Goodnight world. And as I get ready to exercise my final natural right I want to thank you all for reading this. Death is only the beginning, see you on the other side. moreOpen Question: All my life am incontrol of my everything my weight my temper ....etc after 30 i lost it i got married am plan?

I mean percentage wise. I know that many countries speak European languages because the Europeans invaded so many foreign lands, but the Europeans brought things like Christianity (which is NOT a European religion) and music (which originated in Africa and not Europe) to these countries as well and they didn't invent these things. Also, so much of European food/cuisine is from outside Europe (examples are wine, tea, coffee, chocolate, cheese, bread, etc.) I'm thinking less than 50% is actually from the continent. Why is it that instead of offering answers to questions they don't like, Europeans only dish out abuse? If the Europeans on Yahoo would just think about what I'm asking and actually respond with a well thought out answer, then maybe you all wouldn't come across so bitter? moreOpen Question: i received an email from <officeoffice7585@johnnnymails.com> about wining a prize what should i do?

The Dinner Roll .. Once upon a time I was invited to the White House for a private dinner with the President. I am a respected businessman, with a factory that produces memory chips for computers and portable electronics. There was some talk that my industry was being scrutinized by the administration, but I paid it no mind. I live in a FREE country. There's nothing that the government can do to me if I've broken no laws. My wealth was EARNED honestly, and an invitation to dinner with an American President is an honor. I checked my coat, was greeted by the Chief of Staff, and joined the President in a yellow dining room. We sat across from each other at a table draped in white linen. The Great Seal was embossed on the china. Uniformed staff served our dinner. The meal was served, and I was startled when my waiter suddenly reached out, plucked a dinner roll off my plate and began nibbling it as he walked back to the kitchen.. "Sorry 'bout that," said the President. "Andrew is very hungry." "I don't appreciate..." I began, but as I looked into the calm brown eyes across from me, I felt immediately guilty and petty. It was just a dinner roll. "Of course," I concluded, and reached for my glass. Before I could, however, another waiter reached forward, took the glass away and swallowed the wine in a single gulp. "And his brother, Eric, is very thirsty," said the President. I didn't say anything. The President is testing my compassion, I thought. I withheld my comments and decided to play along. I don't want to seem unkind.. My plate was whisked away before I had tasted a bite. "Eric's children are also quite hungry." With a lurch, I crashed to the floor. My chair had been pulled out from under me. I stood, brushing myself off angrily, and watched as it was carried from the room. And their grandmother can't stand for long." I excused myself, smiling outwardly, but inside feeling like a fool. Obviously I had been invited to the White House to be sport for some game. I reached for my coat, to find that it had been taken. I turned back to the President. "Their grandfather doesn't like the cold." I wanted to shout, "that was my coat!" But again, I looked at the placid smiling face of my host and decided I was being a poor sport. I spread my hands helplessly and chuckled. Then I felt my hip pocket and realized my wallet was gone. I excused myself and walked to a phone on an elegant side table. I learned shortly that my credit cards had been maxed out, my bank accounts emptied, my retirement and equity portfolios had vanished, and my wife had been thrown out of our home. Apparently, the waiters and their families were moving in. The President hadn't moved or spoken as I learned all this, but finally I lowered the phone into its cradle and turned to face him. "Andrew's whole family has made bad financial decisions. They haven't planned for retirement and they need a house. They recently defaulted on a subprime mortgage. I told them they could have your home. They need it more than you do." My hands were shaking. I felt faint I stumbled back to the table and knelt on the floor. The President cheerfully cut his meat, ate his steak, and drank his wine. I lowered my eyes and stared at the small grey circles on the tablecloth that were water drops. "By the way," he added, "I have just signed an Executive Order nationalizing your factories. I'm firing you as head of your business. I'll be operating the firm now for the benefit of all mankind. There's a whole bunch of Erics and Andrews out there and they can't come to you for jobs groveling like beggars...we need to spread YOUR wealth around..." I looked up. The President dropped his spoon into the empty ramekin which had been his crème Brule. He drained the last drops of his wine. As the table was cleared, he lit a cigarette and leaned back in his chair. He stared at me. I clung to the edge of the table as if it were a ledge and I were a man hanging over an abyss. I thought of the years behind me, of the life I had lived. The life I had earned with a lifetime of work, risk and struggle. Why was I punished? How had I allowed it to be taken? What game had I played and lost? I looked across the table and noticed with some surprise that there was no game board between us. What had I done wrong? As if answering the unspoken thought, President Obama suddenly cocked his head, locked his empty eyes to mine, and bared a million teeth, chuckling wryly as he folded his hands. "You should have stopped me at the dinner roll," he said. moreVoting Question: what can i do about my mum?

Exclusive: RNC document mocks donors, plays on 'fear' By: Ben Smith March 3, 2010 04:23 PM EST The Republican National Committee plans to raise money this election cycle through an aggressive campaign capitalizing on “fear” of President Barack Obama and a promise to "save the country from trending toward socialism." The strategy was detailed in a confidential party fundraising presentation, obtained by POLITICO, which also outlines how “ego-driven” wealthy donors can be tapped with offers of access and “tchochkes.” The presentation was delivered by RNC Finance Director Rob Bickhart to top donors and fundraisers at a party retreat in Boca Grande, Florida on February 18, a source at the gathering said. In neat PowerPoint pages, it lifts the curtain on the often-cynical terms of political marketing, displaying an air of disdain for the party’s donors that is usually confined to the barroom conversations of political operatives. The presentation explains the Republican fundraising in simple terms. "What can you sell when you do not have the White House, the House, or the Senate...?" it asks. The answer: "Save the country from trending toward Socialism!” Manipulating donors with crude caricatures and playing on their fears is hardly unique to Republicans or to the RNC – Democrats raised millions off George W. Bush in similar terms – but rarely is it practiced in such cartoonish terms. One page, headed “The Evil Empire,” pictures Obama as the Joker from Batman, while House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leaders Harry Reid are depicted as Cruella DeVille and Scooby Doo, respectively. The document, which two Republican sources said was prepared by the party’s finance staff, comes as Chairman Michael Steele struggles to retain the trust and allegiance of major donors, who can give as much as $30,400 a year to the party. Under Steele, the RNC has shifted toward a reliance on small donors, but the document reveals extensive, confidential details of the strategy for luring wealthy checkwriters, which range from luxury retreats in California wine country to tickets to a professional fight in Las Vegas. The 72-page document was provided to POLITICO by a Democrat, who said a hard copy had been left in the hotel hosting the $2,500-a-head retreat, the Gasparilla Inn & Club. Sources at the event said the presentation was delivered by Bickhart and by the RNC Finance Chairman, Peter Terpeluk, a former ambassador to Luxembourg under President George W. Bush. The RNC reacted with alarm to a question about it Wednesday, emailing major donors to warn them of a reporter’s question, and distancing Steele from its contents. “The document was used for a fundraising presentation Chairman Steele did not attend, nor had he seen the document,” RNC Communications Director Doug Heye said in an email. “Fundraising documents are often controversial. “Obviously, the Chairman disagrees with the language and finds the use of such imagery to be unacceptable. It will not be used by the Republican National Committee – in any capacity – in the future,” Heye said. The most unusual section of the presentation is a set of six slides headed “RNC Marketing 101.” The presentation divides fundraising into two traditional categories, direct marketing and major donors, and lays out the details of how to approach each group. The small donors who are the targets of direct marketing are described under the heading “Visceral Giving.” Their motivations are listed as “fear;” “Extreme negative feelings toward existing Administration;” and “Reactionary.” Major donors, by contrast, are treated in a column headed “Calculated Giving.” Their motivations include: “Peer to Peer Pressure”; “access”; and “Ego-Driven.” The slide also allows that donors may have more honorable motives, including “Patriotic Duty.” A major Republican donor described the state of the RNC’s relationship with major donors as “disastrous,” with veteran givers beginning to abandon the committee, which is becoming increasingly reliant on small donors. The party’s average contribution in 2009, according to the document, was just $40, and the shift toward a financial reliance on the grassroots may help explain Steele’s increasingly strident tone toward the Obama Administration. While the crude portrayal of Obama may be - as Steele ‘s spokesman put it - “unacceptable,” other elements of the presentation may be of equal interest to close political observers. The RNC plans to raise $8.6 million from major donors alone in 2010, less than 10% of its total 2009 fundraising take, which was primarily from small donors." The center of that plan is an extensive, and colorful, schedule of events. Along with traditional fundraisers with conservative luminaries including Weekly Standard Editor Bill Kristol and former presidential candidate Steve Forbes, the party plans to raise $80,000 for a trip to Lond moreResolved Question: what countries have what food?

█Hanafi Fiqh scholar “Suyuti” wrote in his Fiqh book, Durr al-Manthur: “Fight those who don't believe in God nor in the Last Day [Unless they believe in the Prophet God bless him and grant him peace] nor hold what is forbidden that which God and His emissary have forbidden [e.g., wine] nor embrace the true faith [which is firm, and abrogates other faiths, i.e., the Islamic religion] from among [for distinguishing] those who were given the Book [i.e., the Jews and Christians] unless they give the head-tax [i.e., the annual taxes imposed on them] (/'an yadin/) humbly submissive, and obedient to Islam's rule.” █Hanabali scholar Ibn Taymiyyah (1263 - 1328) wrote this (translated by Rudolph peters in Jihad in Classical and Modern Islam) : The penalties that the Sharia has introduced for those who disobey God and his Messengers of two kinds: the punishment of those who are under the sway [of an imam], both individuals and collectivities, as has been mentioned before [in the chapter on criminal law], and, secondly, the punishment of recalcitrant groups, such as those that can only be brought under the sway of the Imam by a decisive fight. That then is the jihad against the unbelievers (kuffar), the enemies of God and His Messenger. For whoever has heard the summons of the Messenger of God, Peace be upon him, and has not responded to it must be fought, "until there is no Fitnah and the religion of God's entirely" (K. 2:193, 8:39). █Shia scholar Rohullah Khomonei wrote in his book : "Islam is not a religion of pacifists" Islam's jihad is a struggle against idolatry, sexual deviations, plunder, repression, and cruelty. The war waged by [non-Muslim] conquerors, however, aims at promoting lust and animal pleasures. They care not if whole countries are wiped out and many families left homeless. But those who study jihad will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world. All the countries conquered by Islam or to be conquered in the future will be marked for everlasting salvation. For they shall live under [God's law]. .... Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels(advises) against wars. Those [who say this] are witless. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ►Khalid ibn Walid (Sahaba) Submit to Islam and be safe. Or agree to the payment of the Jizya, and you and your people will be under our protection, else you will have only yourself to blame for the consequences, for I bring the men.. who love death as ardently as you desire life. This letter was written by Khalid, from his head-quarters in Babylonia, to the Persian monarch before invading it. (History of the World, Volume IV [Book XII. The Mohammedan Ascendency], page 463, by John Clark Ridpath, LL.D. 1910.) ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ I have been commanded to fight against people so long as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah, and he who professed it was guaranteed the protection of his property and life on my behalf except for the right affairs rest with Allah.[Sahih Muslim 1:30] moreVoting Question: Forgot Recipe country style pork ribs, tom. sauce, cup of wine-can not remember what kind of wine?

The best questions about life are the real difficult ones we keep from school, anyway here they are; 1) Why do cats always land on their feet? 2) Why does water if slightly warm produce bubbles? 3) Why the sun always appears yellow or red in colour? 4) Why America mostly used proper English up until the 1950s then butchered it? 5) Why nativity plays always display Jesus as an albino when he comes from a country of mostly darker people (not necessarily Nubian black but you know what I mean)? 6) Why America thinks France is romantic, when Europe and the world hates them (Italy is far superior) ? 7) Why countries are obsessed with having the tallest building in the world as this isn't necessarily a feat of architectural or artistic or cultural triumph? 8) Why black men were gifted with the strongest thickest meat as oppose to other races? What was God thinking as it hardly is the basis for an advanced civilization? (the ave black guy possesses 12 inches, ask any girl whose tried) 9) Given oil is so much trouble to fight and drill for we don't use alcohol? (Example France pours away 5,000,000 liters of wine a year due to over production) Think about it! Whisky etc... is flammable after all. 10) Why Australians want to be carbon copies of Americans (but are far inferior)? moreResolved Question: Senate votes against 57 million elderly, the veterans and disability persons getting a one time $250 check?

I'm primarily interested in answers from people who have been in similar situations and understand. Please no rude comments, I'm feeling low enough as it is. I just need some encouragement. Last summer I moved to a new country, said good-bye to family and friends, left a good job, gave up all my belongings and got married. I was unable to get a license, SSN, or work until my paperwork was approved. Finally they approved everything. I was a massage therapist back home but since it's regulated in my state I need to take a big exam which has been wracking me with anxiety. I write next Friday and everytime I open my books I feel overwhelmed. I haven't worked since last summer and just feel like crap. I've applied for a bunch of jobs to give me something to do while I was waiting to write my exam but I didn't get a call back, not even from clothing or video stores. I wake up feeling nauseas, sad, scared. I've put on a bit of weight since I've got here, not much but enough to make my clothes tighter. My husband is very supportive and patient. He doesn't expect a lot out of me but sometimes I wish he would to motivate me more. I just feel worthless and inadequate and I'm not sure how to break out of this rut! Sometimes I even drink a couple glasses of wine to get the edge off but that only makes me feel sluggish and I don't feel like doing anything. My eating is terrible - because of the anxiousness I have little to no appetite. The only time I'm able to eat a meal is when my husband comes home from work. I love to cook for him and it also makes me feel somewhat worthwhile. Anyone had sucess with breaking out of a rut similar to this? Any tips? I don't want to feel afraid/depressed anymore. I don't want to be mad or hard on myself anymore either. Thank you for reading. moreResolved Question: Hav you ever been embarrassed by the contents of your shopping trolley?
I worked in a centre for asylum seekers. With HIV in mind, we were the first centre in the country to hand out condoms. I went to my local supermarket and, in my trolley I had a crate of beer, six bottles of wine, 400 cigarettes AND 36 condoms. The girl at the check out looked at me and then at the young man who was with me. (My step-son, who looks nothing like me). She raised her eyebrows, and I said, 'We're having a party.' This was true, but I could hardly have said, regarding the condoms, 'They're for work,' which would have been the truth. moreResolved Question: What do you think of the United States President Barack Obama´s special Purim interview for Arutz Sheva?
On Purim the US President BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA gave the special Purim interview for Arutz Sheva. President´s mood swung from low to high and back again as he sipped occasionally from the Purim wine that the Arutz Sheva team had brought him. To our surprise, Obama chugged away at the bottle, finishing it before the interview was halfway through and asking for seconds. His mood from that point onward could best be described as “drunkenly sober” – until the end of the interview, when matters took a surprising turn. ARUTZ SHEVA: Mr. President, as the Jewish people celebrate Purim, we remember our struggle with an evil Persian official named Haman, and look with foreboding at a new Iranian regime that threatens us with destruction too. Can you promise us that the US intends to apply biting sanctions against Iran before it is too late? PRESIDENT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA (BHO): First of all let me say that I am very much in favor of sanctions that bite. As a matter of fact, I think all sanctions bite. They really do. Sanctions are out! Any form of punitive action against a Muslim country is really counterproductive because Islam is a religion of peace and the US is after all a colonialist power. I was just talking to some old madarassah buddies of mine from Indonesia about this on Facebook. Suddenly beaming, Obama waves at the camera and exclaims: “Hi Bilal and Japoor! Hope you are watching!” He fondles his wine glass pensively and continues. BHO: Having said that – we have no intention of abandoning Israel to the wolves, so to speak. I have said before and I will say it again: the United States will not stand idly by as Israel is turned into a radioactive parking lot. If and when Iran uses nuclear weapons against Israel, and if we see that there is serious fallout and hundreds of thousands of people die horrible deaths – we will apply sanctions against the Revolutionary Guards. AS: What kind of sanctions? BHO: We have already drawn up a plan for barring the families of Iranian Revolutionary Guardsmen from Disney World and Disney Land. We will not let them in, clear and simple. AS: What if they cry? BHO: That depends on whether it is a fake cry or a real sobbing, chest-heaving cry. We are not heartless. But we will not allow our ally to be attacked without responding swiftly. AS: What about EuroDisney? Will they be allowed there? BHO: Well, we need the European Union for that and we believe that they, too, will be on board. However, EuroDisney isn't that cool anyways. The main thing is Disney World. AS: And that's it? Hundreds of thousands may die in a nuclear holocaust and the only sanctions will involve theme park access? BHO: Let me be very clear on this: If Iran uses nuclear weapons on Israel, I personally intend to make a round of appearances on network talk shows, including David Letterman who I remind you is a Jew, and mock out Mahmoud Ahmedinejad. You know how charismatic I can be. I will also tell ACORN volunteers nationwide to 'get in the faces' of Iranian diplomats if they encounter them. This will get ugly. AS: Well yes, but by then Israel will already be, as you put it, a parking lot. BHO: Now, you see, a parking lot is actually not a bad thing for the Middle East to have. Everyone needs parking. My problem is not with the parking lot but with the vehicles that park in it. I'm talking about all the SUVs that are so popular in the Gulf states. I would expect cooperation from our allies the Saudis and Emirate sheikhs in making sure that if the Jewish state does become a parking lot, the cars that park there conform to the strictest regulations regarding emissions. AS: What happened to all your plans for Mideast peace? BHO: Well let me be frank with you. It turns out I do not have a clue regarding the psychology of the players in the Middle East. The dynamic between Jews and Arabs there turns out to be totally different from Chicago. Recently I have reached the conclusion that a three year old child with some experience in nursery-school power politics could probably understand the Middle East better than me. With his elbows digging into the Oval Office desk, his ears touching the tips of his scrunched-up shoulders and his face registering a puzzled look, Obama said: “I really am a space cadet when it comes to Middle East.” AS: So what caused you to be so wrong? BHO: Well, I knew, based on my experience in Chicago, that Jews are Democrats. So all those years, when I heard that Israel was a democratic country, I figured they meant Israelis were Democrats! Lately I have discovered, however, that there are a lot of Jewish Republicans in Israel as well. This I did not expect. It's weird! And they are so bitter! They just sit there on their ancient land and cling to their Bibles and guns! AS: Finally sir, do you have a message to convey to the Nation of Israel on Purim? BHO: Well of course I do. You must always remember that the US is your ally in times of need, and that we will not let moreResolved Question: What would you do if your child told you this?
My son is in first grade and while we were discussing his day he ask me if I knew what people ate in a different country. He went on to say that they ate "sheep testicles" and "wouldn't that be gross, mommy?". I asked him who told this to him and he said his music teacher. This isn't the first time this teacher has said inappropriate things during class. Another example was when my son was singing the lyrics of a song. I recognized the song and it was a song about drinking wine! Am I overreacting or is this something that all kids should learn about in elementary school?I did call the principal and he got a chuckle out of it. But promised he would speak to this teacher about more appropriate material. This teacher also likes to intimidate the kids by invading their personal space. The kids seem to like him but they are kind of wary of him. I keep finding out interesting things about this teacher from other parents. I am not the only one with a story. moreResolved Question: Could you check my letter in English?
I am a student learning English. By the way, my teacher is leaving to his country, so I wrote a farewell letter. Could you please check and correct my expressions? Dear John I am really sorry that you are leaving. I had a great time and practiced a lot of English expressions with you. As your advice, I currently started to read NY times everyday. Actually, it is my start-up page of my computer. I appreciate your efforts. I prepared some trifle gifts for you and your wife. As a matter of fact, I bought a bottle of wine for you when I didn't know you're leaving. I don't want to add the extra wright on your luggage, so I counted it out. Instead, I picked up other things. You might get similar items from other students, but I'd like to give you those things. They are bookmarks shaped like Korean king and queen’s costume. I chose them wishing for your wife and your happiness and prosperity. I hope for your safe trip to your hometown and pleasant time with your family. Thank you for teaching me for the last month. I've checked Yelp but can't find anything I care for. Don't really want to do a winery thing cause I hate wine, and I won't be old enough to legally drink when I get married anyway. :P I'll be 20, husband to be will be 21 though, but he hates wine too. I grew up in Napa - wine country, yuck - so I don't mind getting married there as long as we don't have to do it at a winery.... lol does that make sense? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. :) moreResolved Question: How much wine do you drink? Especially Mediterraneans...?
I drink a bottle of wine most nights. I start with my meal and it lasts a few hours - remember there are only 3 large glasses in a bottle. I don't get drunk. I drink as though I would do if I were in France or Spain. In the UK we are bombarded with adverts 'if you drink more than 2 glasses of wine a day you will die of this and that (a different thing each week), I know it is partially a scare tactic to try and stop teenage binge drinkers in the UK but once you add up what you drink it is far more than the government (who probably drink a bottle of whiskey when they get home at night) say you should drink. Am i being paranoid thinking that these few glasses with my meal are going to kill me or is it not normal? i'm 32, healthy, good diet, exercise, drink lots of water in the day, i had a blood test for everything the month and liver was one of them and it was perfectly healthy. Is the british government making me paranoid? is that what normal people drink in countries like france and spain? moreResolved Question: what country songs starts out saying tuxedo waiters black ties white table cloths and red wine?

The only religion I've studied in depth is Christianity. I only know a tiny bit about other religions, but some sound really interesting. I'm a mostly atheistic agnostic these days. I don't see myself likely ever believing in anything again, but I get to have a religion wishlist... just for fun. Are there elements of different religions from different points in time that you would put together to create your fantasy dream religion? Ever thought about that? I have lol I don't know if you need to believe in gods or goddesses for this, you do probably need to at least believe in magic spells, but being a witch always sounded awfully cool. Some of the early European religions sound charming as well. (belief in Pan, nymphs fairies, etc.. lovely festivities surrounding the celebrations of seasons and even celebrations of wine or sex! Sounds charming to me) So, many different elements of different European countries' early religions appeal to me. While I love the teachings of Jesus, Christianity as a whole does not appeal to me. Too much a thing that takes you away from enjoying life, rather than celebrating life. But their idea of a god who "uses all things to work together for good", in our lives & who gives us a "calling" & a purpose are really nice elements. I'd take those parts. As for a good afterlife model found within religions I think I like reincarnation best. I never was a fan of the heaven/hell model of an afterlife. What bits & parts would you steal from different religions from all different times to create your dream religion... if it could be real. No making fun, we are all aware that this is not real, & just for funsies...:)@reverend soleil- I agree naturally. This is only for fun we are playing make believe, not name the religion most likely to be based on reality. That said, about the orgasm thing... I did NOT know that about the Jewish faith.... & I now have a whole new respect for it lol moreResolved Question: What do you think of when you say words pinic and country garden ?

I cant help but to notice the siege mentality of Christianity in America these days while we are at war against old fashioned Muslims and at the same time we have so called moderate Muslims immigrating into our country and spreading their religion at an alarming rate. I have studied the Arab conquests and the history of early Islam and all of such things involving Christianity and let me tell you there was no moderate Muslims or moderate Christians a long time ago. I have spent so so many years reading the news from everywhere in the world and paying all the attention I can to the numbers and statistics and I must say that unless something revolutionary happens soon America will become a Muslim country in about 200 years. I think the Muslim religion is the religion of the Turk because they are invading us like the Ottoman empire and when its all said and done we will not even be allowed to legally have a glass of wine without a Christian ID card. Despite all of that I do think that America overall would be better off a Muslim country than a Christian country. moreResolved Question: older country song (90s).. need title please?

Would you divorce because of this?
We have been married for 2 and a half years. I don't go out and when I do I come home around 11. All I do is go to dinner with my dance troupe (all women) or meet once in a while to make costumes for the season. Everytime I happen to go out I come home to an upset husband. He says that if I tell him I'll be home at 10 I should call if I'm gonna be a little later than that. A little later meaning 10:30 or 11. If I don't call, evehn if he calls and I pick up which I always do, and tell him I'm sorry I'll be home 15 minutes later he gets upset because he had to call and not me. If I'm not home right when I said I would be I'm given a hard time. He sometimes calls me 5 times when I'm out and when I studied abroad for three weeks he asked me to call twice a day in addition to him calling the hotel at 12 midnight to make sure I didn't go out and I'd be in bed. His excuse was that I had school at 9 a.m. When we had a trip to do some wine tasting he got upset and asked me not to do it because I'm a girl in a foreign country. But I was with professors and staff. These are just some examples. When I got back from my trip he was upset and didn't talk to me because I wasn't able to buy a phone card and let him know I was boarding the plane. This guy is two-months younger than me. I think my fiance and I have narrowed our wedding venues down to two locations. I love each of them equally and both are pretty much the same price. If this were your wedding, which would you choose? Option 1. A banquet facility located in a country club 30 minutes to 1 hour away from ourselves and all of our guests. The ceremony will be held on a pretty patio attached to the banquet room. The patio has a retractable awning that can be pulled out for less than perfect weather (getting married at the end of May). The cocktail hour will be on a separate are of the patio and the reception will be in the banquet hall. The package will cost $55 per person (including tax & gratuity): 5 hours of Limited Open Bar. Champagne station adorned with fresh strawberries. Hor Dourves: Fruit & Veggie Platter International Cheese and Crackers Cheese Fondue and French Baguettes 6 Butler Passed Hor Dourves Champagne Toast The Carving Station (2 choices - chef attended): Roast Vermont turkey Roasted Top Sirloin Pasta Station (chef attended): Tortellini alfredo with grilled chicken. Tuscan grilled vegetable with penne in a rosa sauce. Main Buffet: Seafood Newburg Chicken Marsala Beef Bourguignon Potatoes au gratin, Garden fresh vegetables Wine service with dinner Wedding Cake Coffee and decaf coffee or tea will be served Option 2: An old chocolate factory that has since been turned into a restaurant and a banquet facility that is located 10 minutes from us and no more than a 20 minute drive for everyone else. The banquet facility is modeled after a speakeasy. It has an large octagon oak bar, exposed brick & a life size fire place. They have a courtyard at the venue that could potentially be used for a ceremony but theres a bar right in the middle of it. While some guests may find that awesome, I would prefer no-one be chugging a beer in my ceremony photos. The other option for the ceremony if we went with this location would be a botanical gardens type of place nearby (free to use they just ask for a donation). The only problem with the gardens is that its semi private and the date that we are planning to get married (memorial day weekend) is a pretty big tourist time in my area. I'm sure they would respect our space and all but then again... who knows! I may end up wishing I got married next to the Heineken sign (its not really that close). Anyways, this reception would cost us $58 per person (including tax & gratuity): 5 hour limited open bar Hor Dourves: Vegetable and dip display Cheese and cracker display Mini Chicken Cordon Blue Cheese Ravioli or Mini Quiche (havent decided on this last one yet) Caesar Salad Garlic Mashed Potatoes Vegetable Medley Assorted Dinner Rolls & Butter Chicken Marsala Stuffed Fillet of Sole Chicken and Broccoli Penne in a White Wine Garlic Sauce Carving Station: Roast Sirloin of Beef Cookies & Brownies (none of our guests are vegetarians, and yes.. I know that for a fact) If we went with option 2, I think I would like to try a 1920's/chocolate theme to kind of coincide with the factory and speakeasy feel. With option 1, it would probably just be your average wedding, which is totally fine too. The additions that we will have to pay are pretty much the same for both places. When it comes down to it, both weddings will cost almost the same amount, so price doesn't really have to be a factor. All things considered (distance, price, food, atmosphere, etc), which would you choose if you were me? Thanks for the help!Courtney: Out of curiosity, what aspects are questionable in option 2? moreVoting Question: Wedding package opinions?
We are considering getting married at a country club about an hour away. After looking through their packages, we both really like this one (see below). If you were a guest at our wedding (keep in mind, most people will be traveling between 30 mins to an hour) would you be happy with what were serving and feel like our wedding was worth your time? Our families are VERY blunt. Cocktail Hour 4 hours of Open Bar (we will end up paying an extra $3 per person to extend it 1 hour longer) Champagne station adorned with fresh strawberries. Hor Dourves: A multi-tiered table with an extravagant Presentation consisting of: Fresh fruit and vegetables, a variety of international and domestic cheeses, crackers, grilled vegetable platters, tapenade, dips and red onion chutney, sliced French baguettes for our savory cheese fondue and a panoply of tasty buttered hors d’oeuvres Champagne Toast Buffet “The Carving Station”( Choose two) chef attended Roast Vermont turkey, Smokey Mountain Ham, roasted garlic encrusted top sirloin of beef, Guinness braised corned beef, tenderloin roulade of pork “A Taste of Sicily” (chef attended) Tortellini alfredo with grilled chicken Tuscan grilled vegetable with penne in a rosa sauce. “The 18th Hole” Seafood a la Americaine, served over farfalle. Veal bourguignon, complemented with button mushrooms and egg noodles. Chicken Francais over jasmine rice Potatoes au gratin, Garden fresh vegetable with a sherry butter and herbs (We can make our own 3 selections. These were just what was included in their sample package) Wine will be offered to your guests before and during dinner. “The Wedding Cake” - custom wedding cake with sorbet intermezzo “Coffee Service” Coffee and decaf coffee or tea will be servedThe "panoply of tasty buttered hors d’oeuvres" consist of 8 hot buttler passed hor dourves. Also, the 3 options that are listed there (including the veal) we will not be going with. We're leaning towards chicken marsala, citrus salmon and some other beef option. Were getting married memorial day weekend 2011. The ceremony is on the clubs patio that has a large awning that covers almost the whole area in case of inclement weather. The cocktail hour will be held on a separate part of the patio and the reception will be in their banquet room. There are a handful of hotels within a few miles so lodging wont be an issue. moreVoting Question: Can non-alcoholic beer be a step into moderation?
I'm almost 25 and I know that I drink too much. The problem is two things for me that feed into me drinking a lot. One, I have moved around the country a lot alone and I'm a huge sports fan, so I will just go to a bar and watch sports and have beers while I'm there. Often times that's really my only reasonable way to get out of the house because I can't do too many things alone and that's okay no big deal. When I moved to San Diego alone for example I would surf some and maybe have a couple drinks at a bar but I can't surf here in Florida usually so that just leaves sports bars. Also, I love the taste of beer. I love comparing different kinds and styles and at some point, the buzz I got from beer kind of formed a habit. It was only a real habit for about 5 months, after all I never really started drinking at all until I was 22, but I recognized the need to cut back. I'm afraid of the damage that my habits would do on my liver and other parts of my body so I figure maybe I can just go out a couple of times a week if I can fill some of those other days with a few non-alcoholic beers. I don't consider myself to be dependent on alcohol. I don't feel the need (or want to) drink in the morning, when I'm working, I don't shake when I'm sober, etc... I just love beer, in fact I hate liquor. I only drink beer, and occasionally I drink wine but not very often. No stupid answers about non-alcoholic beer blah blah blah I'm just looking for advice. Do you all think I can drink moderately (or less often) if I just drink NA beer instead the majority of the time? I think I'm mentally tough enough to not crave real beer if I keep drinking NA beer, after all I've moved across the country by myself 3 times alone before I'm even 25. I think I'm strong enough to have control, just seeing what you all think. Oh and by the way I haven't moved around because of family problems or anything like that which might lead me to drink. None of that, it's all school and career related. moreResolved Question: Menu ideas? Gourmet food?

I need help coming up with gourmet salads, vegetarian entrees, beverages, and desserts. Help? To help you get a feel for what I'm going for, here is my current menu: Appetizers British Mushrooms A deeply rich and savory spread served with garlic rye bread. Walnut and Goat’s Cheese Bruschetta A crunchy toasted walnut bread with caramelized walnuts and goat cheese on top. Bacon-rolled Enokitake Mushrooms The strong smoky flavor from the bacon compliments the subtle flavor of mushrooms in this dish. Figs with Prosciutto and Roquefort A balance of sweet, salty, and savory is greatly obtained in the wonderful mesh of flavors. Japanese-style Spinach with toasted Sesame seeds The subtle sweetness from the spinach and umami from the sesame create a luscious way to start a meal. Prawns in Chili Sauce Canapé Style These little prawns with chili sauce serve as an excellent finger food or appetizer. Soups Avocado Soup This soup has a fresh delicate flavor and a wonderful color. The tang of lemon zest compliments the creaminess and sweetness of the avocados. Swiss Chard Soup with Miso and Orzo Orzo and tomatoes are juxtaposed with Asian ingredients here. Minted Spinach Soup with Yogurt Cheese and Toasted Pine Nuts Mint and spinach dance gracefully in this dish as the yogurt cheese and pine nuts give it a texture and taste that dazzles the senses. Herbed Butternut Squash Soup with Chive and Sweet Red Pepper Yogurt Cheese The creamy comfort of butternut squash and the heat from the red pepper create a mix of flavors that creates a new twist on an old classic. Pureed Fennel Soup with Julienned Carrots and Toasted Walnuts The subtle sweetness and licorice flavor of fennel plays well with the crunch of walnuts and the sweetness of carrots. Gazpacho This cold soup is a very refreshing dish. It has crisp layers of flavor, unlike those tasting like confused salsa. Entrees Roti of Homard with Vanilla This mouth watering roasted Homard, a type of Lobster, is sure to enlighten the taste buds with the delicate favor of vanilla. Cocotte of Bacon and Country-Style Cabbage The savory, rich, and salty flavor of bacon play around with the bitter flavor of cabbage in a way unexpected. Foie Gras and Flatfish with Citrus Sauce The richness of foie gras serves as the perfect bed for a flatfish with a tangy citrus sauce. Sea Eel Royale with Truffle Sauce The fishy taste of eel and truffles with wine create a combo layered with many levels of flavor, creating many subtleties the keep you wanting for more. Squid Ink Risotto The saltiness of squid ink is a welcome inclusion to a risotto made with the finest rice, topped with shellfish and prawns. Buffalo Tartar with Lime Sorbet The robust flavor of buffalo with the sweetness of lime sorbet really creates a dish fit for a king. Ronkonkai Chicken à la Dragée This chicken dish with sugar almonds creates a mixture of textures and tastes sure to please the senses. moreResolved Question: I have a question about the dining plan at Disneyland?

Let us ask Joe the Conservative. Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. With his first swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to ensure their safety and that they work as advertised. All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry. In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for the laws to stop industries from polluting our air.He walks on the government-provided sidewalk to subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a conributor. Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune. It is noon time and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression. Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime. Joe also forgets that his in addition to his federally subsidized student loans, he attended a state funded university. Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards to go along with the tax-payer funded roads. He arrives at his boyhood home. His was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification. He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to. Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that the beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day. Joe agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I'm a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like. I have." moreResolved Question: This may be tough..Looking For Songs?

In my country, the legal indisputable drinking age is eighteen, and I am older than this. However, I don't look it at all - in fact, I look about fourteen or fifteen - and, because of this, I am never given an alcoholic drinks list in restaurants. Even with a group of people who do all look over eighteen, it's an eternal assumption that I will not be requring a drinks list or wine glass. Thing is, I never drink alcohol, and as such don't have any need of a list ... but the assumption that I'm so much younger than I actually am kind of annoys me, and there's always a temptation to say something to the meaning of, "Hi, I'm not going to be drinking this evening but I would like to point out that, as I'm over eighteen, I could if I wanted to." Would this be very petty, or just a little bit?lucy may, I'll probably really appreciate it in a decade or two - it's a family trait, across both sides. Women in my family often make it well into their sixties before going grey; both of my parents have been mistaken for my friends at various times. It's just, right now, as a young adult I kind of want to be seen as one, and looking like I should still be in school isn't a compliment, it gets me down just a little bit. Do I provide proof of age, ask for a list then just don't order anything from it?Africa Renee, I understand the reason for the law but it doesn't stop it annoying me. I suppose what really annoys me is there's nothing I can do. If I wanted to drink, I could show my driving license and ask for a list ... but I don't. The rational part of my mind knows that it *is* petty to just point it out for no reason, and to cause a fuss, get a list and then not use it is just as bad.molly, like I say, I'm going to love it when I'm in my fifties and can pass as my twenty year old kid's friend ... but at this point in my life, I know it's ridiculous but it still gets on my nerves when any ID of mine is assumed to be fake but I just don't look old enough to have it, and when I'm out during the day people ask why I'm not in school.wet willy, it's an issue because, stupid as it is, it's something that winds me up regardless.Purpleflower, thank you for understanding where I'm coming from. I know it's petty, and that's what annoys me - anything I can do about it is petty, and not doing anything leaves me in a bad mood for the entire evening.Bent Snowman, it's not really a sample quotation, I wouldn't actually use those words. To be completely honest, I do think negatively of the waiting staff - ok, facially I don't look old enough, but my clothing style is appropriate, if I'm talking it's with an adult vocabulary and not about school child topics, in what I'm told is an adult sounding voice, and I'm often in a large group of people clearly over the drinking limit - clearly enough over that they wouldn't be socialising with fourteen/fifteen year olds, but not so much that they're older family. So if someone doesn't identify these things and at least ask me, they do, in my opinion, have bad perception. And yes, my life is pretty good, but, even if it wasn't, we're all allowed to have irrational things that annoy us, even if they're not important on any grand scale. moreResolved Question: Curious about costs of traveling to Europe relative to the pre-Euro days.?
My wife and I went to Europe in October of 2000 before the Euro was introduced, specifically we spent a week in London and a week in Italy. But what we found was that everything in Britain was a lot more expensive in terms of real cost, and in Italy, everything was a lot less expensive, and given that one US dollar was equal to 1/2 a British pound, but 2,000 Italian Lira, I wasn't too surprised. But having not been back since, I'm curious what effect the conversion to the Euro has had in this area? Obviously the Euro is much stronger against the US dollar now, so it would be more costly going to either country, but I guess what I'm wondering from anyone who lives in Europe or travels there regularly, is there still a large disparity between costs between countries on the Euro relative to one another, or has that equalized? For example, two entrees & 1 bottle of wine in London ran $90, 2 entrees, 2 appetizers, 1 bottle of wine, 1 bottle of water & 2 deserts in Florence ran $25. moreResolved Question: Tough situation... What should I do?
So, I've had this friends with benefits thing going with this girl for about 8 months, we've talked about dating before, but she had said that she was going to be moving out of country within the next few months and to get get into a relationship would be stupid. So we just stayed how we were. On a seperate note, for about the last 2 years I've had a huge crush on this other girl, we worked together and I've occasionally hinted at me liking her, and taken her out to dinner her and there. Nothing serious until one night I got a little intoxicated with her (3 bottles of wine between the two of us) and kinda spilled the beans that I've had a thing for her for a LONG time. Well, things recently i changed jobs and we've been hanging out more, nothing physical or intimate (I did take her out on a few really nice dates, plays and nice restaurants and the like) Well, this past sunday night we were hanging out and had a few drinks together and long story short we ended up making out and sleeping together at her house(sleeping, no sex). It was like a dream come true, I've waited for this day forever. Well, I know that i need to tell FWB girl that things have to end between us, and had intended to do so tomorrow (I've been workin all this week and want to tell her to her face not via text message or something) Well she called me tonight and told me she wasn't moving out of country any more and "that meant great things for us". How do I hurt her feeling the least going about this? moreResolved Question: Do these old testament prophesies speak of Israel in present day? Post 1948?
Amos 9:14-15 I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them," says the Lord your God. Deuteronomy 30:3-5 then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you. Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, from there the Lord your God will gather you and bring you back. He will bring you to the land that belonged to your fathers, and you will take possession of it. He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers. Leviticus 26:3, 7-8 "If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, ... You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you." Jeremiah 31:10 "Hear the word of the Lord, O nations; proclaim it in distant coastlands: `He who scattered Israel will gather them and will watch over his flock like a shepherd.' Ezekiel 34:13 I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land. Ezekiel 4:3-6 ... Then take an iron pan, place it as an iron wall between you and the city and turn your face toward it. It will be under siege, and you shall besiege it. This will be a sign to the house of Israel. "Then lie on your left side and put the sin of the house of Israel upon yourself. You are to bear their sin for the number of days you lie on your side. I have assigned you the same number of days as the years of their sin. So for 390 days you will bear the sin of the house of Israel. "After you have finished this, lie down again, this time on your right side, and bear the sin of the house of Judah. I have assigned you 40 days, a day for each year. Jeremiah 16:14-15 "However, the days are coming," declares the Lord, "when men will no longer say, `As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,' but they will say, `As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.' For I will restore them to the land I gave their forefathers. Ezekiel 37:21-22 and say to them, `This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land. I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms. Isaiah 66:7-8 "Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son. Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children." Ezekiel 37:10-14 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet--a vast army. Then he said to me: "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They say, `Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.' Therefore prophesy and say to them: `This is what the Sovereign Lord says: O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.'" moreResolved Question: Religious people, did you know that?
The Romans had a lot of knowledge in the area of physics due to people like Archimedes? They had a common practice in which they use the modern tech at that time to make the people think there were miracles happening. Also, it was also common for Roman high class to sleep around with women in countries they owned. This includes Israel. The Romans also knew how to make powdered wine. In the case of Jesus turning water into wine; The chef remarks that he'll abstain from age old traditions of serving the best wine first by serving it last. This means that the wine actually didn't taste good. This also meant that people were still drinking the wine served prior to it running out. Once the people are drunk they will drink anything they think has alcohol. In fact, the powdered mix doesn't contain alcohol. After this, the disciples put a lot of faith in Jesus. The miric Healing sick people.. how do you know they weren't planted there? I've been to one of Benny Hinn's ministry he did in a country other than the U.S. What I saw.. Was him making a person walk who was in a wheel chair. I wasn't convinced by the acting of the person. These people were conveniently placed up front. The old lady just got up and started running...... with a non-believable happy face. A person who had just been healed from a life long disability, would not start running as their muscles are too weak for that. Also, they wouldn't run around with their hands in the air and a happy face. They'd be on their knees greatly thanking the lord. There were a lot of disabled people. I sat on a balcony on top of where they were. There was a white tape that prevented them from reaching the stage where Benny Hinn was. Benny Hinn also had body guards who blocked the side access. The other prayer people were the ones who came over to the disabled and prayed for them. Non of them walked home healed. Miracles you say? I say fraud.arch9 Who Jesus or Benny Hinn? I haven't heard of any interviews of the people he's healed or their friends and families. Also, if Benny Hinn can heal the sick. He would be a scientific marvel and medical science would be looking into him. He probably denies any request made to come heal the sick at hospitals. You know, places that have actually diagnosed sick people.Jim Would you care to reveal the doctrine that disagrees with what I said? It is entirely possible to feign miracles even in ancient times. Hearing it second hand ages later from a book... I don't have to explain to you why this is not a solid foundation for belief right?Alexis... Do you know who Archimedes is? It doesn't require that much to read and remember these facts.... Also, I have done research and read interesting articles on ancient society. They have these engineering marvels at museums. There is the clock that runs on string and water. The Romans were a very inventive bunch with all these engineering feats.Cricket Where do I begin.. I'll start with 1.) What if she wasn't raped? What if it was consent. Women are attracted to power. I believe Jesus had royal blood. An angel didn't visit Joseph, more like a very convincing person/s with swords. 2.) Wine was being served with food. Do you think regular people back then cared about the taste of wine? Only rich people cared because they can. Yes, you can get drunk off of anything that has alcohol. It doesn't suddenly lose its effects because it is from wine. The person who sipped it knows Jesus is an important figure.. 4.) (3?) Ever heard of body doubles? What Jesus gained? Jesus gained the acceptance of billions into his newly enforced religion. Was it a coincidence that the Roman empire switched to Christianity? Your mistake is that you assume you know all about Jesus' life when all you know about him is what is written in the bible. People say those things are myths because.... There is no evidence... People do want to know the truthAnd the miracle of the blind man.. You know that the bible records a different number of them right? In Luke, there was only one blind man. In Matthew, there were two. Luke 18:35, Matthew 20:30. Also, why would Jesus ask a blind man what he wants? Shouldn't he already know? Ok, if we assuming that there was only 1 blind man then I'll address that. Ok if you read the verse, it says the blind man called unto Jesus. He's blind, the streets are noisy with commotion over Jesus. Ok, lets say the people around him are whispering about him. The verse says the blind man took off his robes and walked to Jesus. No one helped him. This means he could see a little. So Jesus asked him what he wanted.. Blind man walks to Jesus.. The man's blindness sounds like post-blind syndrome. You can look it up. Dust can cause blindness, especially if you sleep on dirty surfaces everyday. moreResolved Question: I'm flying into Santiago, Chile, and I have a week and a half. Where should I go?
I want to spend the bulk of my time out of the main cities. I want to do some hiking and experience quaint villages, wine country, etc, but I don't want to fly anywhere in country. What is within an overnight bus or train ride? moreResolved Question: No L word yet? What's he waiting for?
My BF and I have been together for 8mo. We've had one major fight (around month 3-4ish) and decided we were going to 'do this' LOL. We are very 'all or nothing/don't like to waste out time' kind of people. We've met eachother's friends, families, gone to weddings, going out of the country on vacation next month, have gone on road trips, talk everyday and (most importantly) I'm totally crazy about him and I'd think he feels the same. BUT I'm about gender roles and I say the guy I has to say it first. (sorry to all the ladies that believe otherwise, but I'm a rather traditional kind of girl). He was actually scared to kiss me for the 1st time-I know this because he vocalized this to me. HA. (it took 2 prior attempts and when he finally did he had 3 glasses of wine in him) . He's an awesome guy-can't imagine life without him. He'll be 29 in the spring and I'm 26-both have strong and successful careers, good families, backround, etc.... So what's the hold up? moreTop Wine And Country Links
