Resolved Question: If I cant afford a steep booth price... Where can I sell my magazine?
The club I am in produces a beautiful magazine of art, poetry, and other writings. We need a place to sell, but can't afford the booth prices at the art and wine festivals. Even if we split a booth with someone else. Where can we sell our magazine for little or no cost? I also created an Etsy account, so hopefully that will help. moreResolved Question: My period smells like wine, is that normal?

this isn't going to be a novel, or short story, or anything, because i know this subject was used a billion times before. but it's just something that shows my writing style. keep in mind that it's basically unedited, except i tend to edit some when transferring from a notebook to the computer. what should i keep on doing, and what should i stop doing, and what should i improve? Elise slid through the hallway in her yellow cotton dress, a drop of perspiration rolling down her back. the house had a tangible silence, though she could hear the sounds of crickets outside and mr. gibson's mozart playing from across the street. her slender body felt naked, and the stifling air was threatening to engulf her from all directions. bonnie watched her sister through the open door of her bedroom, a white bird fluttering in the heavy cobwebbed darkness. carved into her mind were replicas of this night, each overlapping and blending into the next. in each of them were the smell of musk and alcohol, and of a stranger. these strangers were once different from each other, each with their own scent, name, and personality. william sold roses at the corner of the street. brad studied anthropology. peter had blue eyes, small hands, and collected antique wristwatches. but as time went by, bonnie lost interested in the men that elise dated, as if she had gone out with them herself, listening to their stories at first with fascination, then with recognition, and finally with apathy. she closed her eyes and turned to lie on her back, silently imitating the rhythms of sleep. elise sat on her sister's bed and laid a weary hand on her forehead. she breathed in the innocent scents of bonnie's room: the chamomile tea and pencil shavings, the soft coconut scented lotion and the perfume samples coming from the pile of faded and dog-eared vogue magazines stacked in the corner. she was afraid to exhale, afraid of the smell of cheap wine in her breath that would give her away. she looked at herself in the dresser mirror, pretty and lithe and pale, the darkness concealing her smudged coral lips, the stain on the hip of her dress, the tear running down the ankle of her left stocking as well as the tear trickling slowly down her cheek.haha yeah i do tend to write a lot of run ons and fragments. and i'm jsut too lazy to capitalize, but if i was publishing this or turning this in for a grade or something i would definitely capitalize.yeahh and i was reading the virgin suicides and then i got "inspired" so thats why her name is bonnie and they're both delicate and pretty and caucasian lol moreResolved Question: When it comes to dating, do you think women are pickier than men?
I read this TIME magazine interview by a (female) author, and she says: "When I asked men and women what they wanted in a partner, men were far more open-minded. They mostly talked about finding someone cute enough, kind, warm and interesting enough to talk to. Women got absurdly specific — he has to be successful but not a workaholic. He has to know how to order wine in a restaurant. He has to be stylish but not too into fashion in a feminine way. And the lists went on and on. Women seem to want one-stop shopping — a guy who's going to be her best friend, share all of her interests, stimulate her intellectually and sexually and connect deeply with her on every level. Men seemed more willing to accept that they may get certain things from their friendships, other things from their work colleagues and still others from their spouses. Guys don't care if you don't want to hear about the baseball game, but women might be disappointed if the guy doesn't want to hear the details of her book-club discussion. It gets to a point where no guy measures up, because no one human being can be everything to anyone." http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1958998,00.html Do you agree with her assertion? moreResolved Question: what do u think of this article? a lady wrote to sister to sister magazine.?
White Woman's Opinion of Black Women It seems that an article was written to Sister 2 Sister magazine by a Caucasian woman who requested a response from black men. Dear Jamie: I'm sorry, but I would like to challenge some of your Black male readers. I am a White female who is engaged to a Black male-good-looking, educated and loving. I just don't understand a lot of Black female's attitudes about our relationship. My man decided he wanted me because the pickings amongst Black women were slim to none. As he said they were either too fat, too loud, too mean, too argumentative, too needy, too materialistic or carrying too much excess baggage. Before I became engaged, whenever I went out I was constantly approached by Black men, willing to wine and dine me and give me the world. If Black women are so up in arms about us being with their men, why don't they look at themselves and make some changes. I am tired of the dirty looks I get and snide remarks when we're out in public. I would like to hear from some Black men about why we are so appealing and coveted by them. Bryant Gumbel just left his wife of 26 years for one of us. Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen, the model Tyson Beckford, Montell Williams, Quincy Jones, James Earl Jones, Harry Belafonte, Sydney Poitier, Kofi Anan, Cuba Gooding Jr., Don Cornelius , Berry Gordy, Billy Blanks, Larry Fishburne, and Wesley Snipes..... I could go on and on. But, right now, I'm a little angry and that is why I wrote this so hurriedly. Don't be mad with us White women because so many of your men want us. Get your acts together and learn from us and we may lead you to treat your men better. If I'm wrong, Black men, let me know. Disgusted White Girl, Somewhere in VA - - - - - - - - RESPONSE - - - - - - - - - - - Dear Jamie: I would like to respond to the letter written by “A Disgusted White Girl”. Let me start by saying that I am a 28-year old black man. I graduated from one of the most prestigious universities in Atlanta , Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management. I have a good job at a major corporation and have recently purchased a house. So, I consider myself to be among the ranks of successful black men. I will not use my precious time to slander white people. I just want to set the record straight of why black men date white women. Back in the day, one of the biggest reasons why black men dated white women was because they were considered easy. The black girls in my neighborhood were raised in the church. They were very strict about when they lost their virginity and who they lost it to. Because of our impatience to wait, brothers would look for someone who would give it up easy without too much hassle. So, they turned to the white girls. Nowadays, in my opinion, a lot of brothers date white women because they are docile and easy to control. A lot of black men, because of insecurities, fears, and overall weaknesses, have become intimidated by the strength of our black women. We are afraid that our woman will be more successful than us, make more money than us, drive nicer cars and own bigger houses. Because of this fear, many black men look for a more docile woman. Someone we can control. I have talked to numerous black men and they continuously comment on how easy it is to control and walk over their white women. I just want to set the record straight. I want “A Disgusted White Girl” to know that not all successful black men date white women. Brothers like Ahmad Rashad, Denzel Washington, Michael Jordan, Morris Chestnut, Will Smith, Blair Underwood, Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds , Samuel L. Jackson, and Chris Rock all married strong black women. And, to flip the script, there are numerous white men, in and out of the spotlight, who openly or secretly desire black women over white women; Ted Danson, Robert DeNiro, and David Bowie to name a few. I just don't want the disgusted white girl to be misinformed. Stop thinking that because you are white that you are some type of goddess. Remember, when black Egyptian Queens like Hatsepshut and Nitorcris were ruling Dynasties and armies of men in Egypt , you were over in the caves of Europe eating raw meat and beating each other over the head with clubs. Read your history! It was the black woman that taught you how to cook and season your food. It was the black woman that taught you how to raise your children. It was black women who were breast feeding and raising your babies during slavery. It is the black woman that had to endure watching their fathers, husbands, and children beaten, killed, and thrown in jail. Black women were born with two strikes against them: being black and being a woman. And, through all this, Still They Rise! It is because of the black women's strength, elegance, power, love and beauty that I could never date anyone except my black Queen. It is not just the outer beauty that captivates and draws me to th moreResolved Question: Does wine advertising influence your choice in any way?
And if so, why does it influence it in this way? For example, if you see a wine advertised on tv or in a popular magazine (not a specialist or trade magazine) does it encourage you to look out for that wine, or does it actually make you think it's a bit uninspiring, dulled to suit the palettes of everyone? Thanks! moreResolved Question: Pictures, Mirrors, Hairstyles, and All-Around Male Insecurity... Girls, Please Help Me? Guys? Anyone?
This is going to be rather long. Don't bother replying if you're not going to read it all (probably just eliminated 90% of the audience here). We all know about the plight of the modern female in today's world of glossy hair, fashion magazines, and America's Next Model... More ignored is the man, and the constant beating his self-esteem and body image takes throughout the day. No longer are men content with being stereotypical, beer-bellied couch potatoes! Many men suffer just as ill from the effects of "sex-advertising" as do women. One of those men would be myself. If you want to get to the real nitty-gritty and be all technical, I'm not really a man - no, no. Not what you're thinking. In a politically correct world, I'd be a "boy". You know, since I'm only sixteen, I'm not really a "man" yet. Yeah. Whatever. To get to the point, I've got myself some rather serious "issues" with myself, and my appearance. I used to get bullied a lot in middle school for my combover, expansive nose, and protruding nose. Thankfully, as with wine, I've gotten better as I've gotten older. I can see a distinct, rather disturbing difference between the picture on my 11th grade ID and the one of my seventh. Hell, I almost actually feel *good* about myself when looking at this new one! Nonetheless, I'm still a bit... Lacking, in the self-esteem department. I can easily spend half an hour staring at myself in the mirror, beating myself to little bits, sometimes feeling good, but usually feeling bad. There's been occasions where I've seriously contemplated bashing my head into the mirror, though it occurred to me that if I wanted to be perceived as being somewhat attractive, having a face full or mirror shards probably wouldn't be the best way to accomplish that. It's really frustrating for me, as I'm sure it is for other people, to see myself reflected as being rather attractive in one mirror, and then in a different one, to see myself looking a bit similar to one of zombies from "Shawn of the Dead". Most obnoxious of all to me, is that when I get particularly close to the mirror, I actually seem to look rather good. My nose still looks big, but rather than looking like a swollen potato, it complements the Russian landscape. So to speak. My hair doesn't look nearly as puffy, and my face actually looks proportional to my body. Stepping back, however, I oftentimes feel rather bad, especially when viewing myself from a far distance in the mirror. My head can sometimes look waaay too small for my chest, and the rest of my upper-body (which isn't particularly massive, mind you). Is this actually how I look, or do mirrors subtly distort images at a distance? Because I often don't look *that* tragic in photographs taken from far away, unless the flash is on. ;) Since my ears stick out ever so slightly, I oftentimes let my hair grow out to be a bit longer than is normal for most guys; unfortunately, once it passes through a week or two long phase of actually looking decent, it starts to invert on one side, while remaining neutral on the other. So, having rather thick hair, I end up with the right side of my head looking normal, and the left side unnaturally flat at top, before bursting out around my ear, and then curving back towards my head. Most people say it's not really that big of a deal, but I beg to differ. After all, I do have to live with myself. Another area of insecurity for me is my neck. I think I've got a bit of a long neck, with a bulging Adam's Apple that makes me want to cry when I see a picture of myself in profile. So afraid am I of this particular shortcoming that I often wear long-necked coats, sweaters, jackets, and scarves, rather than showing it off for the world to see. I generally look pretty fine from the front, but when I stare out of the corner of my eye, I think it looks horrible... So my question here is: would a girl really care about this? I mean, my neck is pretty long, but it's not on par with a giraffe or anything. A lot of girls seem to say they concentrate on the face, but since I zoom on what I view as negative things about myself, it's always a point of worry for me. Honest answer, please? Er, yeah. That's all, so far as the insecurity goes. Last question I have, assuming anyone even reads all this, isn't so much a question as a plea for advice. Being an ice dancer (who isn't gay! Or bisexual! I hope I made that obvious already, but restating, just in case), I obviously spend a lot of time, well, on ice. When traveling at a relatively fast speed, my hair inevitably gets messed up. In a really, really not good way. It'll puff up really thick around the edge of my face, while leaving no hair on the forehead. On both sides, my hair ends up being close to the top of my head, and gathered around my ears. So I decided to get my hair styled some time this week, though I'm completely at a loss for how I should get it styled. Which is why I'm asking you wonderful peEDIT: Send me an e-mail if you want. Assuming anyone is ever going to read all this.EDIT: Just now realized that about half of my question got cut off. Sorry. =\EDIT (AGAIN): I had pictures in here! Here's a couple, going from oldest to most recent. Second to last one is pretty horrible, so don't make too much fun of me. By the way, I really appreciate all the answers that everyone has given me. Though not all of my questions were answered - primarily because a good chunk of my question is missing, =P - it's still very, very nice. http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs123.snc1/5295_1138657079462_1618443391_364761_3656386_n.jpg http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs123.snc1/5295_1144482905104_1618443391_381370_5132324_n.jpg http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs214.snc1/8125_1184219258488_1618443391_489898_8326996_n.jpg http://hphotos-snc1.fbcdn.net/hs116.snc1/4846_1115449059276_1618443391_291478_7368334_n.jpg http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs181.snc3/18872_1237977002398_1618443391_610856_6957639_n.jpg http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs161.snc3/18872_1237976882395_1618443391_610853 moreResolved Question: MJ fam: Which do you like best?

Ok. Right from the top. I met this girl at my job. Her name is Sarah. She's real nice, and just found out that she works with me now. She gave me her number. She told me that she has no intentions of getting together and that she only wants to be friends. So, what can I do? Nothin..So, I left it alone... One night, I called her up and we talked over the phone. We talked for about 15 mins, then she later was invited to her house because of the bad reception. When I got there, we talked some more and she showed me around her house. We sat in her living room and talked some more about our lives, where she began to tell me about the things that she's been through in life. I felt bad for her. She has 3 kids, works part-time and goes to school. Wow..huh? Well, as we talked she began to cry a lil' bit, so I held her and told her that everything was goin' be alright. We hugged and she kissed me. I was surprised because I kinda liked her already, but didn't think that she'd be into a guy like me. She's just so beautiful. She looks like one of them girls from a magazine. But anyways.that night, we made out as though we'd been together months. To me, it just felt weird. It was totally out of the blue. I've never felt chemistry that strong for someone. We hung out til 2am, where I left. A week later, she invited me over again, and we just chilled. we had some wine and couldn't take our hands off eachother. As, we made out, she whispered in my ear that she wanted me, went upstairs, and slept together. A couple of days later, she pulls me to the side and says that she wants to talk to me. So, we talked a lil' bit, and she tells me that there's a guy that she's been talkin' to for about 3 months, and how she just wants to be friends with me. She also mentions that I'm the only guy she's slept with in a year and that how she really likes the other guy. She says that she wants to keep me in her life. but wants to be with him. Apparently, he babysits for her when she's working. To me, it doesn't make sense, you say you want him, but you're messin' with me? Do you think that having sex with her so soon is goin to ruin chances of a potential relationship? moreResolved Question: Is the Food Network Magazine good?
I want to get my boyfriend a subscription to a food magazine for Christmas. We are in college, so he is no major chef or anything, but he likes to cook and really likes wine. And he is obsessed with the Food Network and many of the chefs on it. Is the Food Network Magazine a good choice? I thought he might like to read the recipes by the people he watches regularly. Or, should I stick with something like Food & Wine or Bon Appetit if they are better? Thanks moreResolved Question: Drifting apart and need advice?
My wife and have been married for 4 years and together for 6 years, we have 4 year old son and we have a 7 year old step son from my wifes previous marriage, we have always been close and we have worked together from home and looked after the kids together. Over the last few months I have sold part of my business so commute to an office everyday , she has also gone into full time employment but still working from home and doing the school run etc. Recently we have been drifting apart a little and I thinks it just because we have and are going through big changes. We exchange emails and texts most of the day and really like it, but as for talking on an evening etc this has not really happened. I know she thinks im grumpy quite alot, I dont mean to be but our youngest son can be a handful especially at bedtime and is always a pain in a morning when its time for nursery or school. Bless him he is only 4 but just pushes every button going to get a reaction. We spend lots of time with him so it inst a lack of attention, I think its just how he is, my mother tells me he is just like my brother was at that age.My grumpyness has been down to changing to my new enviroment. Our the past few months my wife has also been depressed and has been to the doctors to get some help and takes tablets that seem to do the trick for her. She does however have a friend who feels much worse than her and they spend quite alot of time chatting about how they feel. We have chatted recently and ive told her that I think her relationship with her friend is not healthy for her, as her friend is very depressed and it seems to make my wife worse. I told her this and she is going to stop getting too involved with her, she has lots of up beat friends, who I feel she should spend more time with to help give her a lift emotionally rather than been dragged down by her other depressed friend who needs more professional help. She agreed with me so that should help. Problem is because of how I am as a person and how close we've been in the past, since she has taken this job she has had to do a bit of travelling which gets her out of the house just a couple of days, but when she is away I worry. She went away and I spoke to her and she said she was nipping for a sandwich then was going back to watch telly in her room, she then without telling me because she thought I wouldn't be happy about it, turned her phone off then sat in the window of a busy bar with some magazines on her own and had a bottle of wine to watch the world go by, because she wanted to switch off for and couple of hours and just have some time on her own. Which I now understand, but at the time when I couldn't get in touch with her I was worried something had happened to her. Do I need to learn to give her some space when she is away and not text her like normal ? Since we have chatted things are looking better for us, i just feel like im pushing her away by been too possessive when she is away from home. Next year she has to travel abroad a couple of times and I need advice from people how to back off and let her have some space when she is not with me.It sounds like ive answered my own question a bit but would like both male and female opinions on what I should do to let go a bit more and let her come to me in a way moreResolved Question: My story goes too quick any tips?
heres what i have so far... Never mind typos as of now I understand they are there Present Day The strong aroma of coffee peeked under james’s door, made its way around the ceiling fan, and drifted to his face. james’s eyes opened a crack, closed , opened a bit wider, closed, and finally “GRRRRRR!” . He was awake. He threw on the gray t shirt and jeans that he laid out the night before and proceeded to the mirror in the bathroom. It was not kind to him at all today . One could tell he had something on his mind with his furrowed brow and his grayish pale complexion. Not that he wasn’t a handsome man , his light brown hair was a little messy and unkempt and he haven’t shaved in a couple days but what the hell he had some things to take care of. And he sure as shit wasn’t trying to impress anyone. Never the less he brushed his teeth and tried to make good with his hair. In a grumpy monotone voice he yelled to no one “COFFFEE!”. Still waking up he refused to think about what lay before him. He just sipped on his coffee and lit a cigarette, watching the earth start its day. The sky wasn’t nearly as gloomy as his mood, but there were a couple gray clouds, not threatening but there to upset the apple cart none the less. “SHIT!” … looks like he is figuring that he should get a move on. His car was already packed and he dropped off his Husky “ Blake” at his friends house last night. All That was left to do was grab his phone charger and lock up… done. Grudgingly he open the driver door to his 06 Toyota 4Runner and started backing out the driveway. “MAIL,” He Shook his head and parked his car at the end of his driveway. Needless tp say he went to check the mail. A few bills, Revolver Magazine, and a postcard. POSTCARD “ Ill be waiting. ” james’s eyes then went from confused to angry. His ex inlaws must have been fucking with him. “I don’t have time for this shit!” . He jumped back into the vehicle and peeled out of his driveway. However it didn’t take long for his emotions to morph once again, to sorrow. The days that lay ahead of him were to bring some closure due to his late wife. Melinda died 2 years ago this Saturday. They married 5 years ago this Friday. So yes emotions are running high. His destination, Ivy Veil. A small Village on the Finger Lakes of Western New York. They went there every chance they could since 8 years ago when they got lost going to a Blue Oyster Cult show. They stumbled upon the village with wineries, little shops, and unique little taverns and loved it ever since. He was shaking at the moment and figured he better do his best to keep his mind off of it for the next 3 hours he will be drving. Some tunes sould do the trick, he thought. Not even bothering with the radio we went for his book of dead format. Out came The Tea Party’s Transmision. Bobbing his head to the the beat of Jeff Burrows steady snare he calmed down and let his mind drift elsewhere for a moment. Elsewhere was taking him exactly where he wanted to be. Ivy Veil Columbus day 2008 James Felt a wet pressure on his face, followed by the startling yet soothing sound of his lovers’s voice. “Wake up! Come on old man!” James had nothing to say except for… “MRRAGGAHHH” Melinda smirked at her husband, and proceded to poke his exposed belly “Come on honey. We Have a contest to win!” James awoke with a migraine and the taste of wine and cloves. Finnaly mustering up the umph, James sat up and stared deeply into his beautiful wife’s eyes. “Come back to bed, we aready won 2 out of the 5 years, let someone else get it this year.” Melinda rolled her deep blue eyes at him. “ Quit it!” and then thoughtfully “ What if I make it worth you while?” James shook his head like a little kid who was asked if they wanted to go to Disney World. interesting article in eastside boxing dot com... By Nathan Nau - The legacy of Manny Pacquiao has yet to be determined. Will he be remembered as pound-for-pound one of the greatest fighters in boxing history or for his lavish life style? One this is certain, the Pilipino sensation covets the bright lights, whether it’s wining championships in seven different weight classes, traveling with a giant entourage, being on the cover of Time Magazine or having aspirations of becoming President of the Philippines. The great mathematician Democritus once stated: “I would rather discover one scientific fact than become King of Persia..” I sadly, but admittedly, will never become the King of Persia or President of the Philippines, but after analyzing Pacquiao’s boxing career one fact becomes apparent – a statistically significant argument can be made that the current pound-for-pound kingpin is either slightly overrated or his opponents have been strategically selected. One fact that cannot be argued is on average Manny Pacquiao has been fighting opponents that are considerably older, have been recently defeated or are statistically proven to be on the decline. Since his last lost, Pacquiao, 30, has gone on an eleven fight winning streak, with his opponent’s average age being 31. During the winning streak, Pacquiao’s average age at the time each respective bout took place was 28. A three year age advantage may seem minute, but boxers that have consistent success in the lower weight classes typically have tremendous speed. Pacquiao is known for and does have world-class speed in his repertoire, but does consistently fighting opponents in their early 30’s help protect and even boost his speed advantage? In addition to an age advantage, statistics prove that Pacquiao has been fighting opponents that have been recently defeated or are on the decline. During his present winning streak, the average winning percentage of Pacquiao’s opponents throughout their entire career is an impressive 94%. However, when further analyzing the data it becomes apparent that the average winning percentage of Pacquiao’s opponents during the five fights leading up to the their respective bout declines to 84% and the average winning percentage of his opponents after their bout took place, not including the loss to Pacquiao, drops to a measly 67%. Considering the data at hand, can the argument be made that Pacquiao is consistently fighting opponents that are older, statistically on the decline and have been recently defeated? Attacking Pacquiao’s opponents is a logical choice to the argument that he is overrated. Why hasn’t the score been settled with a game and willing Juan Manuel Marquez? Why did Pacquiao fight a recently defeated and in some cases “over-the-hill” Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya and Marco Antonio Barrerra? Insiders within the sport will profoundly point out that tougher matchups exist for Pacquiao, such as Shane Mosley or the much younger Andre Berto. Rumors are swirling that Arum and Pacquiao are even interested in moving up to the 154lb division in an attempt to become an eight division world champion. Pacquiao’s opponent of choice in this dangerous move: of course, the unheralded Yuri Foreman. If Pacquiao wants a challenge, how does a David versus Goliath matchup with the giant Paul Williams sound? On average are Manny Pacquiao’s opponents are older, on the decline or carefully selected – certainly. However, what does that really mean? Pacquiao cannot control that his competition are fighting other champions or top contenders, hence the losses, or that Bob Arum is thinking about money, his fighters legacy, and money again when deliberating on his next bout. One thing is certain, Pacquiao is a great fighter and the only outstanding item worth deliberating is where the Pilipino phenom ranks versus the legends of boxing? Presumably, on January 11th, two fighters will be in New York City to announce a mega fight that will take place on March 13 of 2010 and will not only settle the score of who is pound-for-pound the best fighter in the world today, but where Pacquiao, and even Floyd Mayweather’s, rightful ranks is among the legends of the sport of boxing. I think I figured it out. The Number 1 Reason people get divorced is because the couple started off at the WRONG END of the whole system. On their first date both of them put their best face on. The guy, feeling the pressure to fart is held back, "No way am I going to fart in front of her on my first date" he thinks to himself. He opens the car door...he's dressed up in his best clothes...he's clean-shaven...smells good...he's very polite, not argumentative, agrees with her no matter what she is talking about even if what she is saying makes no sense at all to him...he compliments her on her dress and looks. He is on his BEST BEHAVIOR. She, is on her best behavior too. She flirts with her date. She says all the right things at the right time. Nothing her date says makes any sense to her either and she bites her tongue, nods and says "I agree with you. How smart of you to figure that out."...and puts on a happy face, not wanting her date to think she is a complaining, whining, stupid, simple-minded, self-centered, shallow, gold-digging bitch. Now, imagine if the two of them, on their FIRST DATE, were to meet at the guys pad instead. His dirty laundry is stacked up in the laundry room...his clothes all over the floor of his room...the windows and screens are filthy...there is dust everywhere...the fridge is filled with beer and tupperware containers with green mold all over the food...stacks of dirty dishes are in the sink, the floor is dirty...cartons of empty beer bottles stacked up on the deck outside...girly magazines on the cofee table in plain sight...you get the drift? His date shows up, she's over weight and looking upset because she had a problem with one of the clerks at Safeway...the clerk wouldn't take her credit card explaining, "he refuses my card just because it was expired...what a jerk". She brought over some wine and half the bottle is gone. She asks her date "What's for dinner?" He's on the couch watching TV with the remote controll in one hand and a beer in the other...and then he rips a good, long FART right in front of her. Without missing a beat, he says "I don't know, what do you want to eat?" Now, if these two FIRST DATERS can make it through THIS date, which is what they will eventually turn into seven years from now, then they would NEVER, EVER get a divorce because each of them could NEVER say: "I had no idea my spouse was like this before we got married." Is this the SECRET to not getting divorced?Poster Chelsea said "More like the secret to NOT getting married". Isn't THAT the same thing? I mean, if you AVOID marrying the WRONG PERSON you never would have to get a divorce from the WRONG PERSON...right?Poster Schaden says "In my view the number 1 reason for divorce is marriage...and the unreasonable expectations and ignorance the couple possesses going in to it." And those "unreasonable expectations" were CREATED by both parties on their first date...as IF the other face they are looking at was their REAL FACE.The TRICK to a successful marriage is NOT marrying the "right guy"...the TRICK...is to AVOID marrying the "wrong" guy. moreVoting Question: Please answer! Being a little bit "stoned" is great, and there is no one soda who can reach the "taste firework" of a great Belgian beer, a extra-old brandy, a French grand cru or a 50 years old Madeira wine. I feel sadness when I see all this people unable to enjoy the fine and divine pleasure of taking the time to enjoy the mix of great alcohol, great cigars, great music and friendship. For the same price, the difference between 24 Coors + a pack of Marlboro and 4 glaces of Jack Daniels single Barrel silver reserve + a Cuban or Dominican cigar, is like f*** 10 b*** in 2 hours or spending 2 hours with a Man magazine cover girl.To cab: In my country (Belgium), drinking age is 16 and when I was a teen, on Friday, we were often going to have a couple of beer in a bar after school. Not to get drunk, just to drink one or two beers and most of us were yet able to make the difference between a good and a bad one. A 16 years old teen can do the difference between good and bad drink like between good and bad food. It is a matter of education. I have the feeling a more liberal education is making people more responsable... I had one about 30 years ago. Amazing with skim milk and lemon juice. Sound familiar? I'd really like to find it again. Was printed in some fit/health or cooking light magazine. This is my favorite Sunshine Pepper recipe. I'd like you to post your very vegetarian favorite recipe, even if not mushroom salad. This is my favorite recipe. The blend of flavors, colors, textures and temperatures are exciting. Changes I make are, double or triple sauce and put it in the bag with the prepared peppers, turning occasionally while the peppers marinate. I don't bbq, I broil mine in the oven, each side, basting with sauce. Then bake a little till peppers soft not mushy. I like to do this on a rack and juices become very sweet. I serve peppers over basmati rice with a little olive oil and sauce from the pan over it. Then I top with chilled feta cheese, sliced black olives and herbs. Wonderful with a dry red wine. And wonderful without it also. Do note excessive nightshades, peppers, potatoes, tomatoes, etc, can aggravate arthritis. If this happens cut back and be SURE you are getting enough water. Following is the original recipe meant for the bbq. All credit for this fabulous creation belongs to Edith Adams newspaper column from about 1986. 3 cloves of garlic ! tsp salt 3 tbs balsamic vinegar 1/4 cup olive oil 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper 2 tsp finely chopped fresh thyme 1 tsp finely chopped fresh rosemary 1/4 pound feta cheese cut in 1/2 inch cubes 16 kalamata olives 1 tbs balsamic vinegar Other Ingredients 1 pounds bell peppers, yellow, orange and red salt and freshly ground pepper. Basting sauce: Mash garlic and tsp salt to a paste in a mortar with pestle, transfer to small bowl. Wisk in 3 tbs of balsamic vinegar, oil and pepper. Core, seed, and cut peppers into thirds. Brush both sides of peppers with sauce and place in large bowl. Pour remaining sauce over top. Remove peppers from sauce; reserving sauce. Place peppers skin side down on greased bbq grill over medium high heat. Grill for 6 to 8 mins or till slightly charred, but not mushy, basting with sauce and turning every 3 minutes. Slice peppers into 1/2 inch strips. Arrange on serving platter, alternating colors. Season with sale and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with fresh herbs, feta and olives. Drizzle 1 tbsp of balsamic vinegar over peppers, makes 4-6 servings. moreResolved Question: Things to do in the airport - 6 hour wait in Luton?

Critique To understand advertisements we have to consider the overall concept it creates and the approach used to create it. I was smart about the way I approached the Emirates airline advertisements. Firstly I had to consider the target audiences. For the advertisements to work I had to get inside the head of the target consumer. As a result, the target audience for the first campaign were couples and people who want to spend time with each other. While the other campaign was targeted at family. Moreover, both had to be people with a steady income. In addition, I had to think about the brand image for both advertisements. One was classed as sophisticated and romantic whereas the other was classified as a fun, loving family type. Secondly, I had bare in mind about the type of headlines, body copy and layout I needed for the adverts. I chose three different headlines for both campaigns to capture the readers attention. Moreover, I chose different colours to represent each campaign. For the first advert i chose 'red' because red is the colour of passion and love. Whereas, the second advert I went with blue (Success, and high quality), and yellow (sunshine, joy, happiness, and imagination). Thirdly, I decided only to have what the readers what to read in the body copy of each campaign. In advert one, I wrote about the 'Emirates' difference ,delicious cuisines, wines and spending time with that special someone. Likewise, i did the same for the second advert, but I wrote about Dubia, culture, family time and beauty in diversity. In addition, I used pictures to interpret what i was actually saying in the headlines. Moreover, I used short/long sentences, verbs, punctuations, and adjectives to persuade the reader. I used slogans that people can relate to it. Furthermore, the adverts are classified as a simple and compound advertisements because they rely on the pictures to do the persuading and the ads are often found in hobby or special interest magazines where the relationship between the supplier and consumer is straightforward.
